New soundtoys free plugin day really ends up being the best part of that week. That Devil-loc is great

If you recently purchased Version 5 do you get it for free? I was looking all over their site for this info and maybe I'm blind, but I didn't see it anywhere.

Tried the Sie-Q, and the subtractive EQ is a blessing. I've got dozens of EQ's, but I keep searching for a simpler one that sounds good. This may be it, just need some more time with it to be sure.

I'm with Martin just wanted a simple to use(understand) good, smooth sounding eq: am liking the sooundtoys a lot. The NI SSL EQ is simple to use and sounds good too, very close tonthe real deal. Or most of the parametric stock eqs, in any daw, are simple to use. I use logic ch-eq everyday for substractive moves...

I haven't got a chance to try it but I downloaded it. I have been using the Waves RS56 a lot because of the simplicity. It will be fun to see how they compare.

Demo'd it on client project at 44.1....thought the high boosting sounded nice and sweet last night....so, this morning I get up and put in into one of my personal projects (88.2)....open it.....crashes Cubase....restart Cubase....insert it.....crashes.....
Anyhoo....be nice if it works....but, anyone else use it on a project above 44.1? Is it just some cryptic combo in my system?

NEW 88.2 project? Works fine. Um....yikes. So something about THAT project--yes, I tested it again, crashes EVERY time I open that plug in.

I like it. Works in 88.2 on logic. Highs aren't harsh at all. Lows are nice. I like the drive too. Sounds really usable. Worked well on some electric guitars in a mix I did today. I've been using the rs56, Scheps 1073, and q2 mostly. The sie-q may get quite a bit of use in the future here.

Yeah, it works at 88.2 here, too....it just doesn't work in that ONE project. I've literally never had that happen. A plug crash the app but only from one project? I have a feeling that these old projects that have been on Mac AND Windows installs have gone "weird"....

The fragility and impermanence of the digital medium rears it's head once again.

And TODAY....it not only works at 88.2, but it works in THAT project...computers, am I right?
