You know, I've bought stuff from Tony Belmont, never had a bad dealing with him...but I noticed he signed up here and hasn't posted anything. Tony, did Jules round all you mods up in a circle and decide to ban Tony?

That place kinda brings out my dark side, but in the three or so warnings i've gotten over the years, i always ratcheted it back afterward. It's cool, it has been plummeting down hill for a while now over there, and i really have been wasting a lot of time there anyway. I'm definitely not surprised by the tactics though, mr belmont has been smacking down peoples enthusiasm for capi on a 500 thread incessantly all day??? |

I do kinda blow off (maybe too much:D) steam over there, but I've seen far worse than anything i let fly? maybe they saw that i'm moderating the DIY sub forum here and didn't cotton to that? Whatever, John, maybe for now you should anonomous moderators and other folks with familiar avatars should tread lightly if they care to keep there memberships at gestapo's. I'm looking forward to a higher level of discourse anyway, which is already evident here, it'll bring better people in, and keep em coming back, and keeps all of us cognizant of our behavior when you have something to lose thats important to you, I absolutely love Groupdiy, if you look at my posts over there, i'm like saint Anthony LOl!! I kinda got a little pissed over the banning thing with John, and didn't make my feelings a secret about it, ultimately, my membership there wasn't that important to me, and it's why i didn't ratchet it down a bit till things calmed down, i truthfully believe they had it in for Jeff, John and a few others over there, and id pick you talented guys over that disfunction any day of the week. As a matter of fact, most of the guys i've actually learned from over there, are already showing up here!
John, Let me know if there is anything more i can do to help garner more interest, this place is gonna be awesome!

I remember the first time I got banned over there...I was a little misty-eyed...and then I realized, "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME"...Then the third time I got banned, I started a forum.

The irony is they're supposed to give a couple warnings, then an infraction, then when you hit 3 infractions, your suspended..right? (insert best nazi accent) Rulz? we don't follow no stinking rule! I think I will be a good test case. I've been a member for 7 years. I have never 1) been warned; 2) been banned; or 3) ever received any kind of message from them, for any reason. I've never sold or bought anything. Hell, I barely ever posted over there, I felt it was too much like urinating into a gale-force wind. If they ban me, it will be totally unjustified and arbitrary. But I do not want to hide. Lets see what happens. |

I just found out it was this post on this site the other day that did me in at gestaposlutz, i guess i didn't read the fine print of they're rules, but they're assertion that i don't contribute over there is debunked by my first post on that 500 thread that i was thanked for by fellow GS member "herecomesyourman"?? Just managed to get an account working here, and frankly, I am disappointed to see this type of terminology on a new forum... I do not agree with the moderation policies on GS, which is why I left as a moderator some years ago, but seeing a new forums fill up on positive vibes, shared knowledge and forward thinking would be a nicer approach than the numerous nazi references - imho. I miss your posts and contributions, John. I didn't interact much with you but I had planned on contacting you about some industry stuff when this occurred. There are things about g********z that make it seem like many other popular industry forums run by dictatorial acne faced pizza guzzling 400 lb 19 year old armchair quarterbacks with a cartman complex. Who knows, I may share more some time. In the meantime, it'll be a slow build here but at least there's a way to connect with you now.
And as for Tony Camp...well c'mon, Tony. You were engaging in serious level-3 douchebaggery on purpose. It's like you were tempting the devil. lol

I guess it was to tell me i was awarded an infraction for spelling out "why is r ea lg ea r on line banned from slutz now? you guys cant be serious", that was it. |
