If the tweeters were damaged, I'd guess that happened when pulled out of the box by someone. I've done it myself. There's just no easy way to grab them and they are heavy and the fingers just slide down that waveguide right into the tweeters.

drbill I do like the design with the windows. I also did want to have open windows but that did not work out in my room - the dimension are less then ideal. Tell us how did the RT work out in the final measurements at the listening position. Is it more on the super dry side 200 ms, or in between 200 and 400??? I need to have breaks, taking a walk outside because there is no daylight. Its a wise decision to have daylight in the studio. Thanks. Yes, the daylight was critical for me, and one reason I couldn't work with a lot of designers. Jeff was awesome though. I know I keep saying that,, but it's true. Without him, this wouldn't exist. The RT is about a third of a second - very equal across the freq spectrum. We are not done tweaking and measuring yet. Would your designer mind that you post his meassurments here. Waterfall Digramm and Frequency SPL with no smoothing. I am very intrested how a pro design tunred out against my DIY one...

After hearing how inexpensive and helpful Jeff's services were as a consultant for improving BradD's room, I'm going to say give Jeff a ring! Jeff and I may have some differences on monitoring, but the man is a great affordable resource, that's hard to find so everybody should use his capabilities.

I'm sure Jeff wouldn't mind, but we'd like to actually finish the final acoustic tweeks first.

He's working with Trevor Horn right now I believe. Jeff's the long distance guy. :-)

I'm looking at a studio build after moving into a new space last fall. I gave Jeff a shout last week, and it looks like we might be working together on this. Love his work, and very excited to see how this plays out!
Love the room, Bill!

Beautiful. Open and comfy and the light through the window... awesome. If you dont mind where's the pc? Or mac? I believe i read you used a t7500? I'm wavering on grabing one to upgrade. Oncr again you make me feel like my studios in a dungeon. Cause it is.

Guys - thanks for all the kind words. Humbling. We did our best, and it was good enough. :-)
honestly, like I mentioned before, I kept focus, and kept shooting for 110% on the build, and ended up getting 95% of what I wanted / needed. It all worked out, and it's my dream place. No doubt about it.

Oncr again you make me feel like my studios in a dungeon. Cause it is. If you look at the pics closely, I have a machine room. It's about 5'X6' or so. It's behind the slat panel with the synths hanging on it. I have the last, and fastest tower that Mac made. It's about as fast as the lower level trash can macs. 24 cores, PT HDX with 48 i/o. It's all in the machine room, and that little closet has it's own mini split HVAC system to keep things cool. :-) Not sure what a t7500 is.....
