Have they said what it was? Read something about the Flu. His was the best concert I've ever seen.

Awe Man met him when I was 16, we figured out our fathers had at one time played together. Got to do spotlight at a number of his New Year's Eve party's. One of the best terrible loss . I'm going to blast sign of the times.

I've seen many of the major name artists in concert. Prince's concert was the only one I've ever seen where the audience didn't sit down or stop dancing for the entire show, and I didn't mind one bit, because I felt the same way. He was just an incredible performer. It's yet another very sad day for musicians this year, the stars much be in some kind of strange alignment.

I loved Prince. One of the best live performers ever, great writer, player, producer, businessman, marketer On and on... Farewell!

Never was a true FAN - if guitar Students did ask me about him I told them "If you want to see someone who is born to perform on stage...its him"

Stunned, what an artist! I've always had the deepest appreciation for his girlfriend list too.

I don't know what to say... 2016 has been pretty ruthless on us musicians and fans of music. RIP Prince.

When i saw my first vid of Prince performing live i thought something like this: "He will beat Micheal Jackson in his coming up career. And he even plays like Jimi Hendrix. Or at least Jimi would have liked this to death..." And i don't even particularly liked what i heard from him before, it was not my style that time... He never got the fame he REALLY deserved because he did not sell his soul. He could have been the better King of Pop otherwise. A huge loss for music. Another incredible talent gone. 2016 is killing a lot of good people. Sad.

I am honestly very saddened by this: like bowie I really admired Prince's originality, creativity and authenticity and doing things musically his way !

I saw him perform once at the Ritz in NYC when he decided to perform backlit behind the giant video screen they had there at the time. The audience went nuts! They started throwing cans & bottles at the screen, as they wanted to see him in person not a silhouette of him and the band.
I went back the next day. and the screen was totally destroyed. The Ritz billed his label $20,000 for a replacement.

Prince is one of our main MN exports. Everyone here has a prince story. Some are good, some are bad, they are all very interesting. One thing for sure is he was EXTREMELY talented. He is hands down the best guitar player I have ever seen play live. He was a freak of nature. I don't love all of his song but I do love some, and again his talent was something to admire.
His super bowl performance was amazing and so was his solo in the link below. He made everyone else look silly.

Yeah I always admired Prince's rock sensibilities more than his funk. He was a fu@king rock star.
