Me > M-Audio Sputnik (Shannon Rhoades Super Hot Rodded and Modded) > Metric Halo ULN-8 Mic Pre > MH ULN-8 interface > Logic I didn't track with compression this time, I usually do. Thanks for the kind words. Who doesn't like Uni-Vibe on electric guitar?

yes sorry, my bad, what I wrote didn't give enuff credit to your mix but I have read here often about shannon's Mike tweaks and I certainly liked everything about your vocal sound and the mix in general.

I wish you could have heard Wild Rose do that same song live a few years ago.

Here's my band from the second half of the 2000's. We used to play the mid sized Boston clubs pretty regularly. This tea might burn a little more going down than you're used to though. Enjoy. soundcloud.com/jessecoutu/58-trans-cardia

Enjoy 8) https%3A//soundcloud.com/tonycamp/bottle-kneck-1998-or-so"Kitty got mad and dropped his meow in the sand......" By far my new favorite lyric of all time Don't know if it's because I've been stuck in Logan airport for 14+ hrs. now awaiting a flight to Hong Kong (yup true story) or I'm just really fucked up (another true story) but this is great. Gotta' love the Zappa guitar with the peyote-induced rant and loungish background music. Are you the vocalist T.? Really makes me wonder what other crazy stuff you're keeping from us. Simply awesome Tony!

Nice Matt. This thread is perfect for your material considering how original it sounds. You created a very moody piece here. I really love that bass line!

We recently put some of our older (well, a year old) stuff on Youtube. We'll have done 15 shows by New Years, but Pinner is the tune that remains interesting to me. The lead guitar part is a chord-melody thing built around some pentatonic stuff, the verse phrase structure is 4 bars and then 3 bars. Guitar tuning is DADABE. Mix is like the solo - it's okay. Sounds best loud.
Edit: The Beatles were original except when they weren't. Tomorrow Never Knows or I Am The Walrus are John at his most inspired. Obla Di Obla Da and other dancehall tunes are Paul at his most trite, doing pastiche rather than doing his own thing. They had the economic means to be extraordinarily experimental - which they took advantage off, except of course when they didn't.

Nobody can completely take credit for the evolution of recording and what is possible to write songs about. But certainly the single "Strawberry Fields Forever" b/w "Penny Lane" is one huge seismic blast across the whole landscape. Really, to my ears it makes the Sgt. Pepper LP seem very unfocused and uneven. It is hard to listen with new ears for many of us, the memory of a lot of these recordings gets in the way. Lately I have been writing songs at a pace that I never would have thought possible before I learned the secret techniques I am going to share with you all today. Make something up already, and finish it. Worry about analyzing it some other time, or never... soundcloud.com/jjinvegas/dont-leave-me-behind-jj-johnson-and-the-mullahs-of-methadonia-002
