YES !! "Nobody Beats the Wiz" was the slogan. That commercial ran for quite a while.
I used to go to a diner every sunday for years, across from the Museum of Natural History, called the Excelsior Diner. Seinfeld came in frequently. before health food stores were ubiquitous and diners went upscale, the only kind of "maple syrup" you could get was Aunt Jemima, which was corn syrup. I only liked real maple syrup, so I used to bring a little jar with syrup to put on my pancakes. Eventually, the manager said, " why don't you bring a big jar of maple syrup here, and we'll store it for you". I said "great", and from then on, with pomp and circumstance, every time I arrived, the manager would call out loudly to the waiter for him to bring my maple syrup. Now, you see, this was against usual restaurant procedure, technically, you're not supposed to bring your own food with you. They didn't offer their own maple syrup, so I had to bring mine. There's a running thread in Season 5, episode 17 about a guy getting grief when he tries to bring his own maple syrup to a restaurant, and I"m CERTAIN, I had everything to do with it !!

Thanks Brad. Those were some crazy days. I'd be working in the studio, an AFTRA Signatore, big time session cats, and clients would think the session was a frickin' party site. They'd invite a half dozen or more "owners and managers" to sit their on fat asses in the studio, and then ask me if I wanted to "do a line". I was like, "jeez guys, I'm working here"! Still, it was fun.
