There are many many great things in this 5 minutes (the console behind and to the left of Brian Wilson, the melody, the original vocal takes)
but the killer for me is what Brian Wilson says at around 5:05
cheers

Console looks pretty similar to a UA 610 which I'm guessing is probably one of the originals used to record the BB's in the 1960's?
Wilson tells Martin he just pulled a better mix in seconds than he did originally!
Still I can't imagine remixing all those songs even if Wilson had given Martin the okay to do it. They're far too ingrained in my memory to change them and both the songs and production are so iconic that they would no longer represent Wilson's vision at the time which was indeed 'visionary'!

Great share Wiz. And apart from the 5:05 comment, what strikes me in that video is the excellence in vocal quality that it takes on the part of BW to be able to track 2 separate parts so close that the effect in the end is one vocal so tight, we don't even realize we are hearing chorus. I mean we know, but we don't know. We get lost in it. We don't care. It's not like a chorus effect that we try to simulate with DSP. It's grand and other worldly.
