Scooped up a 1971 Transition Guild F20 from the 1st & only owner. Unmolested with zero work done to her. Taking it to my tried & true luthier tomorrow in Aurora ( Waynes World anybody, excellent!). After many a back and forth, and with someone ALMOST out bidding me, I ended up on top. Shot a bunch of pictures over to the luthier before purchasing and once he gives it the go over in 3D I'm hoping a bridge reglue and small crack fill will be all the work she needs to get her ready for another 40+ years!

First of all is a new Dimarzio PAF Pro waiting to go into my Ibanez RGA neck position Then there's the Supro Sahara... As a supro fan, also thinking I'd never be able to afford one of their plastic guitars (haha) I made the decision to go for it. So far I like it a lot. I think next month I'm going to put a TV Jones pickup in the neck position for moar tonez. Finally, I Finally got some K Hi Hats. Really good deal from Sweetwater with a free microphone they're supposed to send me. I'm so tired of brash bright cymbals, these are quite a bit smoother sounding and blend in a little more than the New Beats, which tend to stick right out. Looking forward to recording them!

Hi Hat mic? I've never used one. I always seem to get plenty in the overheads. I might start using one though if these new hats work out well enough. Probably a modified el-cheapo SDC or some decent dynamic mic.

Oh woops, right. Yeah, Zildjian is supposed to send me an AT2021. My plan is to not open the box, sell it as new, and pocket the change. These are the kind of margins I work within, haha!

16" Paiste Masters Thin Hi Hats...ridiculous for a deep dark groove. 20" Paiste Masters Dark Crash, which is a option to have as I don't have any dark crashes.

In the last. 2 x weeks rca 44bx, warbler 127 flat c, JZ BH2, sub kick mic unit (very special design), Maton jB4 original bass amd a few knick knacks. Now i have to clear some room on the shelf. What to get rid of next? How do you like the JZ Black Hole? JZ is running a sale on the BH1. Thanks.

Quite possibly the most important piece of gear I own... My old Hakko finally bit the dust (went red hot, melted in half, after weeks of weak heat soldering) Decided to upgrade to the pig hog top dog. Built a little pedal circuit today this thing is the bees knees! Such smooth workflow.

It's a bit of a project, but I picked up my first Gretsch kit today. 70's Stop Sign badge. 14x24, 9x13, 10x14, 16x18. Going to be a choir/expensive tracking down the parts, but for $300 can't complain! I think it's time to sell off some orphan bass drums...I have 2 Slingerland's, 4 Ludwig's, a Rogers, a Gretsch, and a Premier now.

I got this Blankenship Leeds 21 2 x 10" combo today. It sounds pretty great, definitely better than the old Marshall Bluesbreaker reissue I used to have.

The ez627 came last week. I've gotten to use it a bit. I can say that it is in fact a keeper. Worth every rack space. It's not a pultec. And that is a good thing because there are plenty of those to go around. This is something else. It is BIG in the low end. Wonderfully large. The top end is very smooth as you would expect. Words do no justice to sound and I am no wordsmith so I will do my best at posting some clips. I believe I owe wiz a fet 47 clip as well so I will kill two birds with one stone and post a d12 and a fet 47 with and without the 627 hopefully tomorrow. I'll be leaving the lab-coat unpurchased at the lab-coat store. Decide for yourselves.

Weird. He may have removed it for a period. I saw him post about his cnc machine being down at the moment. Mentioned he removed a few other items. I'm sure it will be back up. Aluminum dust inside the control computer. That would do it to lisa.
