$100, which isn't the greatest deal but I wanted a II because they are less noisy. I actually sought it out because it has a few presets I really like (Pitch Change C, Symphonic, Reverse Gate)

I've got an EMP-700 here. It's got a lot of the presets and it does go around $50 pretty often because it's lesser known. Had to replace the battery in mine, and a capacitor inside the LCD screen for brightness.

I've bought my wife several guitars as an excuse to fuel my own gear lust...but she's never bought me one.
I got my D12E back from Richard Land at Land Audio. He was able to take it apart and bring it back to life (typical low end lose). It's been a paper weight for the past year so I'm excited to put it to use!

Couldn't go home to visit my parents without picking up at least one drum kit 1967 Ludwig Club Date Champagne Sparkle kit with vintage 15" Giant Beat Hi Hats and (2) 18" Formula 602 crashes. Cleaned up nicely! Waiting for the drum shop to open to grab a handful of tension rods to put the bottom floor tom head back on. 20x14, 12x8, 14x14. I'm going to be listing these for sale or trade...if I didn't already have a champagne sparkle kit I'd keep them! Attachment Deleted

Really excited about this. I got a brass a&f snare 6.5x14 and their beater for a kick drum.
I also found two used Samar vl37's for $1200. Not bad.

I dunno Wiz a pillow could be a clue of something else that's coming maybe at Christmas? What are pillows commonly used for in recording studio land?

Pair of Sennheiser MKH 30's. Been thinking about that a few years, started way back when I looked into the cost of the fig 8 capsule for the KM100 body ($950!) and took a pass. Now for some Blumlein comparisons against the Samar MF-65's and Samar custom....

Have some and I'm always happy with them. Super versatile and easy with the eq right there for tracking. Two aml 55f54's and an ez627 are on my short list.

I'm not too worried about the 'finer details' right now. Just some Carnhill stuff and some decent parts. I'm talking about the new single space 500 series pre they just released. It's seriously like, CAPI money, for a 500 Neve kit... pretty incredible. No EQ, however. I would love to do a full 1073 channel someday... well more than one... It's on the list. They have a 1081 too, as well as a Langevin AM16 clone. Super juicy stuff if you ask me.

Well, $10,000 just came out of the reserves for a very important piece of gear.
It has 1 huge sapphire and about 65 little diamonds and an 18K white gold band.
But it had to be done...

After agonizing for months I broke down and purchased the Avid S3 during the big sale. Got it yesterday and so far I am really loving it in my mixing setup. Very easy to set up and intuitive to use.

A crate full of used xlrs, a couple of which are Canare. Most of them seem quite solidly constructed.
Spent more on the cheap cable tester I bought to check them with. So far, so good except for some (dreaded) duct tape residue!
Note to audio folks everywhere: please, please never use duct tape in lieu of cable ties. You don’t really need it.
