New PSS from matt@IAA just arrived! Customized to have all switches. Looking forward to using it on the next master! UPDATE: Dang...this thing is KILLER! Weight, thickness, and some nice top-end smoothing going on. Great work, matt@IAA!!!

Believe it or not... My first PAID computer DAW! (been using all Freebies till now) Half price Black Friday sale on all three n-Track 9.1 versions. Got the mid tier "Extended" version. (Includes all n-Track Plugs @ $69.50) Normally $139. For a Geico Caveman like myself, I liked the relatively easier workflow, versus a number of other DAW's. Plus the file size was only 132 mb. Am rocking a mighty HP Stream and a 2010 Toshiba Satellite W7 mean machine. Chris

Mixed a couple shows yesterday where I could've used a few more inputs from the orchestra. I saw Thomann had AKG C451Bs for $229 each and ordered a pair. Also needed a stage box expansion, which were all back ordered, so I added an X32 Rack I can also use stand-alone on smaller jobs and an NX4-6000 for extra wedge mixes. It started out as a good deal on a pair of work horse condensers, then scope creep happened...

Chris I spend too much time in forums, yet every single Black Friday I learn about companies that have been around forever that I have literally never heard a single mention of ever. nTrack is one of those - how can they have been around for 25 years?!? Mind blowing 🤯

Along with that, it seems their marketing orientation, is towards non-Pro enthusiasts like me. I_really_tried to grok Reaper. But all the set up choices, skins, steps to record etc... Made it a little uncomfortable for me. (I'm no Ragan there! ) I realize for the Pro or experienced Recording Musician, Reaper is awesome. I almost bought the regular version of Multitrackstudio. But the half price sale, pushed me over. And the virtual drums, etc. seemed fun. Chris

Ok the cat is out of the bag (no I'm not talking about my playing, LOL!) I got an alto saxophone! Super excited. My "hero" in this case is Ornette Coleman, that's the sound to chase for me, the dream.

“Learned to work the sax….a…phone………” Drink scotch whiskey all night long... Day 1 I just got a sound out of the thing, bit my lip (ouch), got a feel of the instrument. Day 2 I found my embouchure, and I'm playing simple tunes. I know an Eb scale in 2 octaves, and a few chromatic notes I found. I can play for about an hour before my embouchure blows out and I need to rest. Also really surprised how many people in my family know how to play some sax already.

But where's the USB port on that saxophone? </sarcasm>

But where's the USB port on that saxophone? </sarcasm> It would make one hell of a midi controller. I can see Guitar using his sax to control EZ Keys or something. 😂

Just lucked upon a fantastic deal on an Engl Retro amp head . . . my curiosity was piqued by a demo from our own @soriantis.
So I pulled the trigger! I'll update when it arrives.
