This Chandler TG Microphone Cassette channel strip has been on my maybe someday list for some time if I ever saw one for a good buy to try out. That doesn't happen often with these but this one became available last week, 1 year old in mint condition, not a scratch on it, for a price I had nothing to lose by trying. So I'm looking forward to see how well it fits me. TG2 Preamp - Curve Bender EQ - TG1 Opto compressor which also has its own XLR I/O allowing you to use it separately of the preamp/EQ section if you want.
Oh very nice. We have had some previous conversations about this unit. I am going to need an indepth report on the strip when you have had some time with it. Congrats on your dream strip.

Whew - that's a dream channel strip right there, mike.

Iron Age Audioworks portia street stomp What do you think so far? I always go back and forth about whether or not I want a 2 bus sweetener like that. Seems like it could be a great choice compared to something like Zulu which may offer too many options for my ocd brain. I'm sitting down with it tonight to check it out. I use the Zulu as well which does some really cool things, especially on my TR-707 when I'm capturing it back into PT. My thought on the PSS was that I'd like to have a different approach there. I'll try it on the mix as well, but I think it's going to be really cool for reamping things and such based on what I've heard (which isn't much, but I liked it). I'll report back when I've had some time with it. High-quality construction though! The thing is very hefty and solid.

2 separate visits from FedEx today - Heiserman Type 19 and Audioscape D-Comp. Will try and post some audio of the Type 19 soon, need to create some space for the D Comp before I can put in rack (and I need to find more space for box storage )

With the Multi-Pattern Type 19, I'm glad for Heiserman. And sad for the current 414 XLS. Chris P.S. Cue "Hey Nineteen"/Steely Dan.

A Coleman M3PHmkiii monitor controller and some cables. And I will have you know that I took a coworker guitar shopping last week and she is the ONLY one who bought a guitar. So how’s that for restraint?

It is a definite must-have once you get past all the usual suspects and have everything audioscape has to offer. Those come first and I still have a few left to get.

Just picked up an old BGW at the local book/music exchange. Thought I'd try it on guitar cab before testing it on something with fragile tweeters. That was a mistake... now I need to find another one as it's not coming off that cab...

Added a longer dongle to my P48 microphone, omni directional JLI capsule. Total microphone length is now just shy of 4 inches. Theoretically, this will give a better frequency response than before. Be careful with heat it's really easy to cook these things and ruin them while building. Also been doing some extensive tests of Reaper and Nuendo Live 2 as possible alternate/fast DAWs / recorders. Starting a new “band” with some friends and picked up an Orange Rocker 30 combo...slightly older one back when they were made in England. I needed something a little more high gain. I forgot how heavy (weight wise) their stuff is.

I became an Avedis fan with the e12g. Just using it on drum buss. Excellent! Not a "fat" eq. But not thin or wispy either. I thought the sliders have a nice detent and nice friction for moving and staying in position. (I have not tried anything by Avedis before.)
