Except I really, really want a Silver Bullet, but I just do not know when one may be available. 2 months - mid March at this point. That will no doubt lengthen as the orders come in....

Supro Blues King 12 that I ordered during Sweetwater’s black friday sale was backordered. It came today. Of course I don’t need it but that’s never stopped anyone.

I ordered a Mac Mini M1 (16GB RAM, 1TB SSD). It has arrived.
It's going to be a few days (at least) before I have it up and running, though. I have to change over a lot about my system to make it work for me. I even have to install my Metric Halo 3D card for my interface to work.
I'm expecting some bumps in the road.

Remember to install rosetta 2: have fun ! Did you debate a 512 HD ? 512 vs. 1TB is no debate for me. I have far too many things that clutter up my system drive that I need ultrafast access to, like Spitfire libraries and Acustica Audio IRs. (Most of my sample libraries are on external drives, though.) And I do a lot of different stuff on my machine: film editing, graphic design, web design, etc. I like having a large system drive.

subspace, I got the same shipping label on Dec 12. I thought Santa was coming. By New Years, I realized I hadn't gotten any action on the shipment, I emailed Stam on Jan. 3, on the 4 they said it was shipped. It took 4 days to get here from Chile via FedEx. I don't think I got any special treatment, they probably don't know I'm a classic rock guy, or if that would make any difference. Thanks, I'll e-mail them a reminder as well. My SA-47 just touched down in Memphis and is scheduled for delivery on Wednesday, need to get an actual vocalist in for some demo time.. will give it a shot on the new fave Steinbrenner>Supro rig as well.

PSP Triple meter because it has true peak VU meter. The only plugin VU meter to do so. Waves VU has the best movement but no true peak. Klanghelm VUMT doesn't either. They both read from the digital samples. PSP is boss and does it right. When I tried it, I knew I needed it when I saw the more accurate metering and how the others matched up to the sample metering.

from wikipedia: ”1975 to 1981: The Hit Factory original facility at 353 West 48th Street was a mixture, consisting of a Neve 8068 32 channel console with Necam 1 moving fader automation, a Custom API 32 input console without automation, an MCI JH-500 36 channel console with MCI automation, and an MCI JH-636 36 channel console with MCI automation. Initially there were a pair of Gonzalez custom analog multi-channel desks. The analog tape machines were Studer A80 24 track 2 inch (wide body) analog recorders, Studer A80 16 track 2 inch (narrow body) analog recorders, Studer A80 2 track 1/4 inch analog recorders and an MCI JH-24 24 track 2 inch analog recorder. The outboard gear was a combination of numerous custom pieces from that period plus Eventide, Neve, Lang, Teletronix, Universal, Pultec, Orban, Kepex, EMT, Fairchild and API. The monitoring was a combination of Westlake, Hidley, Altec, UREI and Auratone. Microphones were Neumann, AKG, Sennheiser, Sony, Norelco, Shure, and Electrovoice. Vocals were recorded primarily utilizing either a Neumann U87 or an AKG C414 during this era of recordings at the studios. The studios also had a number of EMT 140 plates, Cooper Time Cubes and Spring reverbs.

Thanks Eric! I’m so over the moon about this, been looking for 10 years+ . My mk2 was factory fit to swap 24/16 stacks, but finding a mk2 16 stack is impossible. They are pretty filthy, it looks like corrosion in pics but it’s just 70s anvil case foam that disintegrated, heads appear in good shape. These are the very early .216/93 and 94 heads for mk2. The later heads were marked with labels .316 part numbers and then they changed head material for insanely long durability in the 80s, marked .317. People say there’s a classic 70s sonic fingerprint that the early heads had where as the 317 are more modern, so I’m jazzed to keep the original tone. Next step is start getting the restoration going. I hope to have a solid rebuilt 24/16 beast by end of 2022.

I would send them off to JEF for inspection just to know their true condition, good luck with the restoration! I really need to find the $ and time to get to work on my 440-2 and 440-8

If that's your definition of little, it's probably good you didn't get a big puppy.

Stam delivered ahead of schedule, cue the angels: Time out. When you ordered, what date were you given? I think he just meant ahead of the schedule as far as the tracking info/delivery company.

Great looking pup! Some Newfoundland in there? Ragan - not sure, per the rescue (Dog gone seattle) their vet thinks greater swiss mountain dog. We sent off some blood for genetics so will know better in a few weeks. Already 80 lbs and his paws are bigger than my last shepherd mix that went 32in and 125 lbs - so expect him to be pretty big when grown.

I think he just meant ahead of the schedule as far as the tracking info/delivery company. We should be giving props to ups or whoever the carrier is then. 😂😂 Right. That's what I mean. There was a whole narrative arc. 'I've got tracking'....'It's not being dropped off until Wed'...'Hey it came early!' I think you were thinking he was talking about it coming early re: Stam timelines but it was only ever that it was ahead of the tracking date.
