I'll do that soon for the class! 1073 pre.s ok with everyone? I'll put two KM84s and two KMS84s with screen removed as closeless as possible mic'ing a D28 playing something simple, strumming with a light pick and some basic fingerstyle stuff. And centered, 14" away above, aimed down at the neck join. Ok? P.S. Excellent KM84 sound here: Man those two have been blending together for so long they’d sound good in front of anything. But yeah that does sound good! Haha

The Mytek Brooklyn DAC+ is here, is it better than the Project S2 digital? Yes !! But not by a landslide, soundstage has better definition some might think it bright it’s not warm but I think it’s a keeper. Really fun A/Bing 2 track & solo track with the RADAR 24 V! I don’t think this thing is going anywhere!

I bought a Tascam 122 MKIII that feel out of the back of the seller car when I went to go get the money it *might* still work. These make really great slap back machines.

Picked up a PCM 70, 80 and 91. I'm growing quite fond of lexicon verbs Been on the fence for a year or two on these. Would be great to hear how you integrate them into your setup. Mono to Stereo inserts, etc., or other?

Mono to Stereo inserts, etc., or other? It took me a while to wrap my head around how it was going to work without a console(since pro tools doesn't do mono out/stereo in inserts). For the PCM 70 I go mono out and then stereo return. I'm running full analog stereo send and return on the PCM 80 and 91. I have 2 Avid HD I/0 16X16 analog. In Pro Tools B 1-2 go out to the inputs of the PCM 80 and the outputs of the 80 go back in on B 1-2 on the HD I/O. B3 sends to the input of the PCM 70(B4 out isn't connected) the 70 outputs return on B 3-4 inputs. B 5-6 outputs go the the inputs of the PCM 91, then the 91 outputs return on the B 5-6 inputs. From there I set them up all as aux channels like I typically would with a plug in reverb. I add the lexicon units as an insert under the i/o section. The aux channels for the 80 and 91 are stereo and have a stereo bus input. I create two mono aux channels for the PCM 70 and both on their inputs are set to the same mono bus input. The insert for the PCM 70 aux channel 1 is B3 and the insert of channel two is B4. I have them named so it comes up as PCM 70L and PCM70 R. I hope all his rambling makes some kind of sense! It ends up looking like this:

I recently mixed an album with the Brainworx 4000 as pretty much 90% of the EQ and compression and it makes me want a couple real SSL dynamics channels.
I picked up a Tascam RS-20 stereo spring reverb. Why? I have no idea. I have 5 other springs.

A little while ago I received A pair of SA67s from Stam Audio. I have no experience with the vintage nor the reissue. I'm not too good with wording, but I will say that I absolutely love them and that they sound right to me. Nice! Still waiting on mine. Your post reminded me to reach out to Josh.

I still need to put these together (future photos forthcoming), but these are one additional 1073-500 kit from AML to form a pair with the one 1073-500 I already have and two add-on 1073-500 EQs. Attachment DeletedWhen I'm done I'll have a pair of AML 500 series 1073 with EQ. I'd been waiting for a while for Collin to get the add-on eq's back in stock, so had to grab them the moment they became available. As always, the customer service was excellent, with units arriving at my door some two or three days following purchase (I'm on the east coast of the U.S., AML is in the UK). As soon as I open these boxes, I'll find immaculately prepared kits. I'm VERY much looking forward to putting these into operation. I've already got a pair of CAPI VP28s in service, so these latest units will give me the best of the API and Neve worlds as far as preamps go.

Another “had them forever, now fully rebuilt, modified, set up”:
Rack with pair of RCA BA-21A (tube) and BA-33B (discrete transistor) preamps. A BC-3 console preamp (tube) will get a sub-chassis cut and mount in the remaining space.
