Still waiting on my Heiserman M7 headbasket and my next two audioscape MEQ's (Pronounced Meeks) to arrive . . . so . . . I bought another Latch Lake 2200. Just joined the audioscape MEQ family. So in the last couple of weeks I have sold two kidneys, and a spleen. I guess I need to start scouting my next victim.

Bought another Rack. Man some decisions are hard to decide which one. So Good old Samson 21RU. Next 4 x weeks I have holidays so I am finally getting a Technician in to train me in the dark arts of soldering. It's about time I up-skilled as my soldering sucks. So its throwing out all my old soldering sticks and getting a new soldering station and learning properly with the right tools. Building a basic Small patch bay (is that what we always tell ourselves - it will only be a small one) for the Samson unit. Fun times.

Having built a bunch of 500 kits (17! WTF?) since the Covid thing, I'd definitely recommend these. The parts are great and the finished units are slick. I will say that I've been spoiled building CAPI and AML kits. Those guys really have their act together. This is a simple build if you already know what you're doing but the docs are just OK. Also the new transformer bracket is a little off. I had to get crafty on them with the aviation snips in order to get those sweet shiny covers on. Just maybe don't make it the first time you've ever built something is all I'm saying.
Interesting, I thought mine were the easiest kit I've ever put together, and fastest.

I ordered IK's ARC 3 last night. They released a new version of T-RackS 5 the day before that integrates with ARC and I've been picking T-RackS over Ozone 9 Advanced pretty consistently since adding the Tonal Balance Bundle in March. I also use multiple machines between the studio and home and prefer having 10 licenses to swapping iLok's between machines. It'll be interesting to be able to measure and treat the multiple playback systems I check mixes on.

I just started using the Dyna Mu (vari mu compressor) and Precision (Neve 33609 compressor) and have been fairly impressed. I'm not sure about the Lurssen thing yet. Haven't really figured it out. The ONE processor seems pretty decent too on mix bus. Also like their EQual EQ plugin since I don't own Fab Filter Pro Q3 for some reason. I have the whole bundle not sure exactly where it all fits in with everything else I own.

Interesting, I thought mine were the easiest kit I've ever put together, and fastest. Well I'd definitely put you in the category of "already knows what they're doing", along with most groupdiy members.
They've made some recent changes to the BOM and the transformer bracket design without updating the build docs. I did receive an email with some amendments to the BOM and instructions and a note that I was one of the first to receive the new kit. Stuffing the boards was as simple as following the silkscreen, but a beginner might have been confused if they tried to merge the BOM themselves. As for the transformer brackets, it's a good thing I had a parts bin with some alternate hardware, a way to cut thick metal, a bench vise, and years of experience with non-kit diy for the confidence to modify the mounting and shield. Otherwise, I might not have been able to complete these without some help.

I have the whole bundle not sure exactly where it all fits in with everything else I own. Stealth always wins as my final limiter and the Sontec EQ is really good. I use the stereo comps in parallel on masters fairly often, Vari-Mu/33609/SSL Bus comp or on multiple subgroups if it's a mix or stems session. Also for full mixes or stems, I bounce the tracks through the Tape Collection more often than not.

I can only add there are some other very popular kits that have been a total pain in my ass, one that I very nearly tossed in the trash and called a loss, for lack of information.

Mossberg 500 pump. It's been my main axe while protecting our venue up in lovely New York from looters and surfers/anarchists.

Just ordered the Chandler TG mic. Hoping to cover lots of bases since I’ve got no access to the mics I’ve used for the past 15 years at the moment and need to get some tracking done at home for a project.
Can’t wait to try it out!

I've been very happy with mine. It's incredible as a mono overhead or room mic on drums. Really works great on amps too. I like it on vocals so far, but I've heard controversy amongst others on that source. You need to place it right, obviously. Haven't had a chance to try it on horns or strings. It did sound wonderful on acoustics too.

I'm supposed to have a Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Crash cymbal of 18"
But it somehow ended up in the back of a car at a car dealership.
LOL. I'll probably have it tomorrow. Too late for bashing anyway.

I've got an EV RE-11 on the way. I decided I had to hear firsthand what all the 10/11/15/16 love/hate is about.
