Looking forward to hearing this, hopefully I have not built up too high an expectation for its performance. Will give it a test run over the weekend. 023 by BEANAT19, on Flickr 023.1 by BEANAT19, on Flickr

Or are you extrapolating to all RE10s? I was thinking about picking up one or two 10/11/15/16, as they've been coming up in conversation around here lately.

I guess I'm saying THIS ONE SOUNDS LIKE CRAP . . .AND reminded me how much I hated them before falling back on the bandwagon Wards must be a truly beat up example! Yeah, it's plenty beat up. Sounds like the HPF starts around 500hz and is a 24db/8va cliff that is falls off of.

Does anyone know if new RE16’s sound like vintage RE15/16/10/11? It’s interesting that they still make them.
Maybe this should be a new thread.

http://instagram.com/p/CALK-slDUnq I will dedicated it to my vocal buss. So one ( neve ) will go to my drums. I will get the audio scape buss and that may be my resident Mixbuss comp. I don't know I'm still learning and trying to figure this out. Now I'm on the hunt for a rack mount case with wheels where I can install fans to cool down the 2a's and the apollo's. I also need to get 2 8 channel ad\da to run the next slew of hardware.

I really dont suggest putting a bunch of fans in your control room personally. I have having my computer even in the same room.

Does anyone know if new RE16’s sound like vintage RE15/16/10/11? It’s interesting that they still make them. Maybe this should be a new thread. I've owned several of the RE15/16/10/11 and the newer RE18. I've also used newer RE16s and felt they sounded the same. I still own 3 of the slightly older RE16s (~1998) that I got a really good price on.
They are damn-near indestructible. I like my mics to be pretty, but I'd bet that an old, beat-to-fuck, RE16 probably sounds just as good as new.
