Just ordered an re20....wanted one forever. Plan on using it for kick drum, vocals, maybe some horns. Also just snagged an Overstayer stereo fet and id4 instrument/line driver saturation box. Can’t wait to try them out! Just waiting on some funds to come through so I can snag a Pultec and I’m going to get to work on some new recordings!

My collection of old dynamic mics continues to grow. Found this Shure 548 far away on Craigslist in PA, but then noticed that my brother-in-law lived in the next town over. So thanks to a helpful family member it's now in my studio in CT!

And finally, pictures!! Posted previously when I first committed to this purchase, but shipment from Australia took some time and sat here in the crate for about a month before I could arrange temporary "home" while I finish rebuilding the shop and build my personal studio. Still need to wire the outboard to the patch bay but setup and passing signal. Nice Audient! Nice stand as well

I had a mint 548, and sold it when the values shot up. Nice mic! Chris

Split shipping with seller, my cost 1800. I'm near Seattle, ship to Long Beach then rail to here. Included broker fees so no surprise costs on my end, went really smooth. Hardest part picking up from warehouse since I did that myself

Hardest part picking up from warehouse since I did that myself I assume that was the one on reverb? It was a great price for what seems to be a well thought out board. Seems really nice. Good luck with it.

correct, have to admit it was a tough decision. Thought about used live board (had a Midas Verona 480 early 2000's for gigs - didn't really fit some of the clubs), considered H3000 or APB Spectra - less $ up front but didn't want to deal with potential age/repair issues. Getting back to music in (semi) retirement - so far seems like the right choice - time will tell.

Probably my favorite mic for that application.

I just bought a ATM250 kick mic. I wanted something a little less processed sounding. I already have a Beta 52A. This should do the trick. I also bought TrueTone 1 Spot Pro CS6 pedal power supply. I got sick of having to use multiple supplies. This should handle everything nicely.

those True Tone power supplies are the real deal, I have one as a daily driver, mounted to the bottom of my board

Been wondering about those. Like I need a new rack piece like a hole in the head. Let us know what you think.
