That’s the spot but it’s probably been 6 or 7 years since Mike was down here. Hope he’s doing well. Prine’s not involved with the studio anymore but honestly he’s in there more than when he was paying the rent!
Gear wise I bought a Zildjian K Light 22” Ride but don’t think I’ll hold on to it...off to the trading block!

An Optocomp from Audioscape was just ordered. Now I have the buss, the 76A, and the opto. Should be good on the compressors. Two nice on the front end and a nice mix buss. OH you're good, but you're not there yet!! You still MUST get, you desperately NEED, an audioscape V-Comp! ------------------------------------------------------^^Click on me^^ _________________________________________The magic special sauce that puts on a vocal is just beyond compare. Definitely don’t need another drum set, and definitely not another red sparkle one, but came across this 60’s Leedy with a 18x14 bass drum and had to grab it.

I’m in Germantown. Berry Hill has enough studios. I’ll probably end up in Madison or Old Hickory. Hendersonville has too much traffic. There’s no shortage of places to work out of and I’ve got some good relationships to where it’s still cost effective for artist, but it be hard to not have my own space I can use on a whim. Come to Cincinnati! Space is crazy cheap.

Got a RND R6 to use as a travel lunchbox so I don't have to keep pulling my Sweet 10 out of the rack every time I work at another spot and feel like bringing my own preamps. So far, so good.

Waves C6 multiband compressor - had to research this one a lot but I have a good use for it now
IK Miroslav 2 orchestra samples - $85!!! Couldn't resist. Immediately satisfying.
on the way - MXR Phase 95 mini phaser pedal with "script" and "45" modes.

Otherwise just been scouring the Internet for possible new studios space because ours is getting turned into condos (story of Nashville) Let’s just say $125,000 doesn’t get you a 2000 square foot house beer downtown like I did when we bought our home in 2012. Don’t even think it’ll get me an empty lot 😳 Ouch, sorry to hear. Good luck with the hunt.

Came across a sequential serial # pair of Sennheiser MKH 20's in great shape, couldn't pass'em. Letting the single I had already go to a friend, which leads to that other thread.....

Oooooh, that is a slippery slope my friend! I started with a cheap fender mandolin, moved up to a Weber and then a Northfield. Now I play a Gibson F5 Fern and if I ever tell my wife I'm getting something better, you'll be reading about it in the obituaries. Pound for pound, mandolins have to be one of the most expensive instruments; at least when you get to a certain level. I think Chris Thile paid nearly $250k for his Loar era Gibson F5. There's something a bit magical about a really good mandolin. I hope you enjoy it!

Haven’t had the chance to really dig in - but looks like it can do the Micropitchshift/Slap Delay thing pretty well - and might help curb my H3000 lust. Either that or make me want one even more..

I've been wanting to try out a Motown DI for a while so I finally found a couple transformers and had some put together. One with a Triad A12J and one with a UTC A11.
