Just made another installment on Eventide's Anthology bundle, Omnipressor for $41 at Audiodeluxe. It's been Omnipressor, Instant Phaser MkII, and Physion in the last month but it seems once you hit 11 plug-ins the upgrade price stays at $249 so I'm just making the bundle more expensive now...

I love my AXE FX III. Sold my powered Kemper and Kemper pedal board after getting the AXE. It even gets more use than my collection of tube amps.

Cool, but are the menus user friendly, and are there so many options that you get lost? I find that on a tube amp an 1/8 of a turn of a knob and you’re there. Menus and menus of finding it, endless combinations, time consuming just learning...not saying it’s a bad unit, always curious, but just hard to pull me away from the real deal.

I 100% use the app... “if” using a tube power amp you get there A LOT quicker but if not the trick in getting the unit to behave like a real amp is in the power amp modeling settings

I just ordered a Cranborne 500r8 interface for 500 modules. It's a bigger and better feature version of the Aphex 500 rack i've been using. Have to wait for the next batch but wanted to take advantage of the 15% off, free shipping and no sales tax. Frontend Audio. A review: www.soundonsound.com/reviews/cranborne-audio-500r8

I just dropped a fistfull on a mod for my 1975 Marshall Artiste 100 watt where channel one was ripped out and an exact replica of Gary Moore's overdrive channel from his SOldano SLO100 was installed.
Sounds incredible!

Dang that's cool Ward. I once had Duane Allman's Marshall 100 from the time of their Live at the Fillmore album. Nothing I've ever heard sounded better and was more touch sensitive. It was stolen.

It was stolen by a "friend". Karma got him quickly though.

Tascam DP-004 4 Track digital recorder. Very small. Got it to put backing tracks on it, then add some practice vocals on top. Also for stacking acapella harmonies on, for practice. Battery run, so makes it portable. A LOT easier to bring around, than my Teac 40-4 could have been! Chris P.S. Used/Supposedly mint condition, with 2 year Warranty, $88 total.

Scored a good deal on a Little Devil EQ. What a fun EQ! Just need to pull out my line mixer to work with it a little easier as it has some serious boost.

AudioScape EQPA - this is a really fine unit. I've spent most the morning listening to some preproduction mic placement tests on stand up bass on different comps and this EQ and I gotta say, wow, this thing has the balls on low end. Monday I did some listening on the Sweetwater file from their Pultec shootout and I felt the highs on this box sounded every bit as good as the more pricier competitors, though the low was a little less focused. Wiped the floor with the Warm in all respects. I wonder if swapping tubes can have an affect on the low? I can see having a pair of these.
Grove Hill Liverpool - these don't get a lot of notice for some reason, but this is a lot of Mu for the money. Just got it patched in this morning after a 24hour burn in. I had the aforementioned upright running into the Sta -> EQPA, which is a pretty massive bass sound, a little much for the simple fingerpicked acoustic music I'm working on. When I patched the Liverpool into the place of the Sta, I immediately liked it. Not as huge as the Sta, but lot's of mid forward heft, slightly HiFi (compared to the Sta and lot's more than the WT Comp). Equally impressive on vocals and acoustic guitar, but I think I found my new bass compressor. Lot's of control, decent attack and release times - much more impressed than I was expecting to be. An excellent compliment to the WT Comp, which I love on sources like violin and electric guitar, but found a bit dark on the kind of bass I normally record.

I bought Harrison Mixbus32C V5 yesterday, while their $79 anniversary sale is running. I admit to being suckered in by the free MixBus only plug-ins they gave away last month;
XT-ME Mastering Equalizer XT-TG Tom-Tom Gate XT-EQ Equalizer XT-DS De-Esser XT-EG Expander Gate
Today I got their offer for the free AVA mastering EQ that runs on any DAW.

the black gloves thing is kind of cheesy but that's a cool mic for sure Rhodium is what makes white gold white and has to be re-plated because it wears off. The gloves will keep the wear to a minimum.
