Those GAR OA10 are really great in the right circuit, I use them in a Five Fish NK72DI and it's a pretty magical combination of things.

Jeff just put them on his site today. Heheh. I guess I wasn't going to make a deal of it but I have been beta testing a few of Gary's op amps for a while now. These are keepers in the NK-72DI. The GAR918 is another one that's fairly good with this preamp. When the OA10 came along though, that was it for me. Speaking of the AM10 (quad eight) that is my main go-to vocal preamp op amp. Preamp is a modified VP312 with Cinemag CMMI-8PCA input transformer. I don't miss my Neve style pre any more. This channel is gold on vocals for my taste. GAR2520 for a long time was my main 2520, love those as well, classic. Hard to beat. The standard. Haven't found a main-choice use for the GAR1731 but I have some of those as well. I'm sure something will come along.

For you op-amp freaks, the Rogue 2 is going to be available in limited quantities SOON!! Very different than virtually anything else out there. Not a 2520, but it's in a 2520 footprint so you can put it MOST anywhere a 2520 would go. Brad's beta testing to see if it's stable in a wide variety of circumstances. (It's impossible for us to test them in EVERY 2520 usage.....).
Uber fast, detailed and 3d. Clean is the new dirty?? Haha!

This doesn’t exactly count, but I have a Silver Bullet on loan for a few weeks. So far Ive been running my current mix through it (A>N, tight in, small sub/air boost). It’s great. I definitely went overboard the first print, but once I realized and dialed it back, it really opened things up. Now I need one. Oi.
Got some Eisen/Hairball BA512 DOA’s to try in my Lola’s (currently have the 990’s). Noticeable difference testing on electric guitars running through at line level. Excited to do some tracking tests.

Needed another heavy duty microphone stand and picked up an Ultimate Support MC-125. jtc111 kept recommending them to me. So I caved. That and the Samson SB100 stand currently holding my FleA 49 is huge and I just don't have space for a second of them at the moment. This is much more compact and better built.

I've got one of those! It's a little wobbly when set up, but it usually seems to get the job done.

It's a great stand for a heavy vocal mic at face height, no real issues there. When you stick it way up and out over a drum set it's not quite as sturdy as some other stand designs, wiggles just a little bit. Overall I'm happy with mine and I think you made a good choice.

You know, Latch Lake is now making some stands that aren't totally humongous....

That is a stand for another day and another budget. One Day!

With Avid's S1 coming out people seem to be dumping their Artist Mix's, picked one up for cheap. I should've done this years ago instead of getting the Raven. Still learning the deeper functions but just having faders and pan knobs again as well as being able to control eq via knobs has me very happy.

That is a stand for another day and another budget. One Day! I have one of the next to largest ones. Incredible stand, but it's pretty big. It's stable, even with a double length boom. With a REALLY heavy mic it might want a sand bag, but I'm not sure of that. Haven't needed one so far.

I bought one a few months back as well. I have a small room, but it's really a "safer" stand than what I've been using. Have my Reflexion Filter hanging on it as well. No issues.

Maybe you all have had the experience of watching your megabuck tube vocal mic topple on a $10 mic stand and maybe being lucky enough to catch it, or watching it hit the floor. The MC125 is a major step up from that scary place. I think this is what prompted my purchase years ago.

Finally off the 500 fence. CAPI 500 filtered DB25 rack, built by Billy Platt (Audibility Recordings). And, 10 blanks from DIYRE, lol. Planning on filling this rack with a selection of CAPI stuff; kits if I can find the damn time. Picked up a used Level-Or for the "Flying Wasp" dedication. Welcome to 500 land! If you're into using guitar pedals for mixing I find THIS indispensable. Hey man, thanks for the reference! I've had the standalone unit for a few years now and I know what you mean. Pumped about the possibilities though. Picked up a Moog Ladder this week. Next month or two hope to get some CAPI kits going.

Whatever happened to that "getting rid of gear" thread? It must have been gotten rid of. Chris
