I really want one of these. Can you confirm the controls for me in that they are all stepped? I keep reading different things. Curious about the recall on it. Blackdawg , Great question. Simple Answer... Controls: (Left to right) » THRESHOLD = What I would call "grooved" steps. Very gently turning, I can absolutely count every single step. » RATIO / ATTACK / RELEASE / FILTER / GAIN MAKEUP = Switched or "Hard-Stepped". » BLEND = This is EXACTLY like threshold. There is no reason whatsoever I could not recall a specific setting. For "Threshold" and for "Blend" I would just have to be patient and count the steps as I gently turn the knob. After that (once counted and written down), I could repeat it every day of the week. Chad Excellent. Sounds like detent pots instead of switches. Still very useable though. Thanks!

Picked up PastToFutureReverbs Summer Bundle this morning for $60. It includes all 44 of their reverb IR libraries, but I didn't realize it also includes their acoustic instrument IRs/Kemper profiles, as well as 17 Kontakt instruments. This should be entertaining.

Bought a used Roll Music RMS5A7 Tubule in excellent condition. I know it's not a Coil, but definitely provides a different and complimentary flavor for my recently acquired Z-251.

Came across a Camco floor tom in Cincinnati that my dad picked up for me...helps having a dad who restores cars and motorcycles because I can ask him to go meet a stranger to grab a random thing and he doesn’t think twice about it!

All the recent discussion about dynamics led me to revisit tracks I'd cut with the 441s I used to have which prompted me to grab another one in a hurry. I love 441s.

Just bought the NoiseAsh Rule Tec Heritage Pro for $50 which is as far as I can tell one of the best Pultec plugins I have used.
It "blows away" the UAD Pultec and the Waves Puig Tec for my ears.
Bonus is that it has the midrange one, and the filters, both included in the same plugin. Which is, incredibly useful.
Some people whine about plugins on this forum but I love them.

Finally off the 500 fence. CAPI 500 filtered DB25 rack, built by Billy Platt (Audibility Recordings). And, 10 blanks from DIYRE, lol. Planning on filling this rack with a selection of CAPI stuff; kits if I can find the damn time.
Picked up a used Level-Or for the "Flying Wasp" dedication.

Forgot to mention I got a pair of Mojotone Quiet Coil P90s. Built a new fuzz face also.
Really transformed the inexpensive guitar they went into, an Agile AD-201. It's now a very nice guitar.

Camco Floor Tom ended up being a 14x14, which is pretty damn rare. Cleaning up nicely! I also bought a Bosphorus 22” Master Vintage and 22” 20th Anniversary Ride off a Facebook group but I’m getting a little worried about the guy’s ability to ship them safely...he mentioned pizza boxes. I told him to take it to the FedEx or UPS store and I’ll pay them to pack them

Just received a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S25 keyboard with Komplete 11 and 7 expansions off Reverb. A year ago I didn't own any synths or VIs, outside whatever came stock with the DAW. Yesterday I ordered a 3 tier stand to accommodate four different hardware/software synth rigs:
NI Komplete Kontrol S25 NI Komplete 11
Roland JD-Xi Akai VIP 3.1 AIR AIEP3 Complete
IK UNO IK SampleTank 4 SE IK Syntronik IK Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE
Logic Remote on iPad Logic Pro X MainStage 3
The times they are a changin round here...

It's been a slow year. So far a bunch of cabling and connection plates for the new studio I'm building... well, the new studio building I'm into for about $50K or $60K so far (only my accountant knows for sure, today) but I did pick up a Samar VL37 which is mind altering. EDIT: Also purchased an old Gibson Tube Amp - 1961 Gibson Falcon Tube Amp GA 19 RVT. Only 204 of them were ever made, and this one is almost all original, and nicely shit-hauled. See attached. Only 204? Interesting - the rhythm guitarist in my first band had one!

It's not very glamorous but I recently picked up a Squier Affinity Telecaster off Ebay so my lead guitarist could have something to get the low open strings in Eb. I need to pick up a Lindy Fralin for the bridge (to match the pickup in the other Squier Telly with the B-bender)and he's after me to fit it with a set of Tronical tuners for quick changes to other alt tunings.I haven't ordered that yet because the headstock template they have for download doesn't print to exact scale on my damn printer, so I need to communicate with the factory to make sure I get the right model.
The Affinity itself ain't bad at all for $125, new with an open box.

Artist flew in with one guitar and needed some additional Tele tones, so we played every Tele hanging on the wall in town. The Affinity played as well as any of them and the tone could be rolled back to pass for the vintage ones, he ended up gifting it to the studio rather than dragging it back on the plane.

Yeah, the Squier Telecasters are quite acceptable stock, but I do love Lindy Fralin's vintage Tele pickups - they just sound so "right" without having to mess around. And they are real hand winds, not produced robotically.
IIRC, the original pickup in my other Telly was a real Alnico magnet pickup, not a ceramic like most Squier Strats. Dunno about the Affinity yet. I do seem to recall that (the other one) might have been missing the copper plated steel reflector plate, however.
