Does anyone else have any Buzz Audio gear? Had a look inside the unit i thought wow there are a lot of small module pieces connected to form the bigger channel strip. The compressor part does not look very big compared to the SOC 1.1. As it seems to be just one module. But after re-reading the literature i see that it is only a version of the SOC not an exact copy of one of the channels of there stereo unit. Pity it is going to be couple of weeks before i can really test out this beast. Can anyone give me there impression of .buzz .audio gear?

They fly a bit under the radar. I have the SOC20 and want the DBC.

I've never owned any but it's a name that has stuck in my brain because in numerous shootouts I've heard, a Buzz Audio piece has jumped out at me as sounding really good. That Tonic EQ is something I've always wanted to try.

I got a Oktava MK-012-01 off Reverb that has the cardioid, omni, and MK-102 capsule. Now I have 5 bodies...4 cardioid, 2 hyper cardioid, and 2 omni capsules and the MK-102. I’ve really been liking these on toms, hi hats, snare, room...just a good all around value to have. I definitely don’t know of of a $100 on average microphone that’s this useable.

Love Buzz Audio. I’ve had an SOC 1.1 comp for several years, and although I rarely track with compression anymore it’s still one of my favorite compressors. It has a nice “glow” to the sound and seems to bring everything forward a bit. Sounds great on some mixes too!

More tube mic pre's on the way. Looking for something QUITE different. Chose a pair of the Coil CA-70S's.
Picked up a Soloman Mics Lo Freq SubMic. Should be cool.
Caved in on the Vanguard V44S. It's backordered for a week or two though. The rotating capsules is what pushed me over the edge. I hope it sounds half as good as the hype! Look forward to putting it on OH along with the coils. Should rock.

For a first really/good low cost LDC, in a home studio... Vanguard V4 IMHO, is a great pick. Chris

Yet another setup in my ever growing collection of gear used for remote recording ..... Everything set on a Triad Orbit T3c Stand. I believe I own at least one of every accessory they make, and have used most of them in this design. From top to bottom. 1 x Mevo Camera, for filming the artist if I'm setup close to them, then I can film and record at the same time. 1 x iPad, used to control Mevo Camera, zoom, focus, as well as to just watch the footage. 1 x Pair of iLoud monitors, playback for the artists. 1 x Pair of Grads RS-1 phones for me to monitor. 1 x Merging Technologies, Anubis, (premium) monitor controller, and Interface capable of recording DSD and controlling 256 channels 1 x Track ball 1 x Apple Mac Book Pro, whatever the newest model is, 32 gig, 512 ............ 1 x Cisco 10 channel Gigabit Ethernet switch used to send and receive signals from other Merging boxes (Horus / Hapi) on stage or in the recording area... 1 x Furman, power strip. New Merging Rig 2 (78.17 KB)

I guess I haven't mentioned it, but I got a Panasonic GH4 camera, and a couple of lenses and a bunch of accessories.
One of the best things I have ever bought, really rewarding purchase.
It's an alternate hobby from music, which is huge. If I get tired of music, there is this whole other thing I can focus on for some amount of time, which is very helpful in constructing a day or a week without getting burnt out. Of course you can tie music and video together, which is something I fully intend to do, but haven't done yet. Just been learning basic photography first of all.

Picked up a T-Rex Replicator Tape Echo on a good deal. Definitely a bit tweaky - and seems to prefer line level - but man this thing is lush.

I've been digging into video quite a bit over the past couple months. So much to learn. Still surprises me how different it is than audio.

I have had the lumix gh3 for about 7 years now. Really loving the fixed prime lenses. I keep thinking about upgrading to the gh5 but the gh3 is still taking awesome pictures and its the lense that does the work anyway. Olympus 45mm is a must have lense along with the 60mm macro and even the 75 mm lens is just terrific. I think i used the 75mm lense on the Buzz channel strip above at the top of this page. And i have a whole heap more lumix lenses. Hey if you want to talk Lumix uses i am always in for that?

Haven't Posted or bought anything for awhile ( can't say I really need anything audio ) trying to finish the tracking room and the new Harrison studio. Just coming in, finished some DIY, and a few thing for the rooms.
2 - Stam 1073 E.Q.s ( Stower w Line in transformer)
4 - Banzai's KM84s ( D.I.Y. kits with original Haufe transformers.)
Behringer Model D ( sorry I sold my original Model D Mini Moog )
Switch Witch ( A balanced line, speaker switcher for powered monitor speakers. I can switch between Control room monitors and send out to the tracking room. One at a time or all at once.)
Monoprice 10" ( decided to go dual subs with the J.B.L. 305 MKii on top, in the tube trap towers ) powered sub
Work, work, work. Trying to get it all done by the end of the year.
