No way.... that's the right color but not the traditional head basket, is it? It's the adk zmod I do believe.

Yeah, they do the same body / head basket on all their zmods I believe. Just different colors.

I wonder how long Neumann has/had the patent to the U47 body and basket (like the U87 & 67)? Maybe by differing a bit, other manufacturers are simply avoiding a potential basket case. Chris

Chris They haven't forgotten to renew it? Because everyone seems able to copy it. Now the U67/77/87 on the other hand . . . despite it being a copy of the Sony C37, they still have maintained a firm grip on that patent/copyright

I installed an LR Baggs Anthem into my D-18 and bought a red Meinel tambourine. It took a few to dial in a balance between the transducer and mic of the Anthem, but now I'm happy with what I'm hearing.

Scored a Martin Custom D-18 Sinker Mahogany (Gruhn's) for $2150. Looks brand new. Bought from a Nashville bluegrass guy. Had to throw it up on the bench and do a set up on it. Action was super high. Those bluegrass guys like their action high (more volume). Lowered to .090" (low E) to .070" (high E). Killer deal. Sounds completely opposite to my J45. Now I gotta sell some stuff! Totally worth it, though.

Nice! That’s a good price on the sinker. Was it David Grier? He was playing one for a bit.

I’ve been wheeling and dealing the last couple days, been a bit since I came across some screaming good deals. I think the only thing I’m going to keep is this Little Labs Redeye 3D to replace my original though.

Did your original just die on you?

The original one works great but the 3D version can be used as a DI and a reamp simultaneously. The original is one or the other. So this will make it a little easier for me to hook it up to some line level effects I have like a Space Echo.
I might keep the original because it is a nice sounding DI, and if you are just wanting to go out of converters and into a guitar amp it works great.

Ah, okay. I thought the Red Eye was always handling both things. Did you find the 3D on sale?

Boss RV-6 for my acoustic guitar live. Does the trick. In fact, it sounds so good that it might find a place in my snobby, analog-only electric guitar pedalboard... 😱
