I don't think getting an M7 is herd mentality. In terms of legendary classic gear its right up there with a UREI 1176 for most. Just as a reverb. Its an awesome awesome device. It is very expensive I know. But its not hype. Its real. Im blessed I realize with getting to use 3 in my studio for work. But I'll never stop recommending it. The only other thing Id ever love over the M7 is a real EMT140 haha Not that there aren't other cool unique or interesting hardware reverbs out there, because there are. Just haven't hear a plugin that can do what even some funky hardware units do. Thanks for the feedback. It's one of those things you hear so much about. I've never even been in the same room as one, so it's hard for me to relate. I am thinking there are some distinct obvious advantages to working for a pro facility, for example having access to gear like this that you don't find so much in home studios. Oh for sure. Even going to school for it lets you get to experience some great gear. How I got to work on Large Format consoles really. Now I have an s6. Not a lot of hardware as its mainly Classical stuff. But Im adding my own touch to things slowly. It is a great piece though. Certainly one of those things even IRs and plugins emulating it just doesn't do it. Magic of dedicated hardware is always there. Just does stuff. Why I believe hardware won't ever really go way.

^^^ Right. I really believe that. Which is why I decided years ago to invest in the real thing. Hardware. Anyone ever try the Eventide 2016 stereo reverb? Always wanted to hear that one. I have an H3000 which I love and an old school Roland SRV2000, which for the money is a good tool to have. I've got the SP2016 Eventide plugin, it's great, if you don't have it check it out! I’m sure the plugin is great. Wondering about the hardware version though. Don’t see them in studios much. 🤔

I have an Audioscape Opto on the way. Hoping it will replace my Universal Audio LA-2A. I also traded some stuff for a Distressor. Man, those things just works for kick and snare.

Three impulse buys during sales... Samples from Mars had their entire catalog on sale for $39, had a SNACKS code for 25% off so I loaded up Logic's EXS24 sampler with all their sampled instruments. Impulse bought Waves' CLA MixHub for $30, I'm greatly annoyed by hopping from one plug-in window to the next during a mix, we'll see if this is less annoying. I control mute/solo/auxes/pan/fader on my Audient controller, will try this for unified gate/comp/eq. Just bought a pair of MXL Revelation mutli-pattern tube mics on PSSL's daily deal for $700. Wanted a new option for overheads, almost put a deposit down on a pair of Stam 87s, then booked a tracking session next weekend and decided on Mr Right Now.

Gibson Nighthawk ST3 1995. Serial # 90465551 meaning she was stamped on the 15th day of February 1995. Almost 24 years old, and by far the most versatile guitar I've ever played. All Les Paul, Tele and Strat sounds in one guitar. Bloody amazing.

Same here, the 1 3/4 nut is like a deep relaxing breath for me compared to the squintched 11/16. Two out of four of my flattops have the wider neck and I think that I will be swapping out the thinner half of the bunch to buy a 00 or a parlor...with a 3/4 width. The only acoustic I have left with a narrow neck is my '88 D-16. I don't see myself parting with it anytime soon because it's my favorite guitar for DADGAD tuning. It just stays in DADGAD all the time now. My three year old D-15 and the big old curvy blond 1980 Ibanez J-540 have the 11/16th breadths, the Ibanez locked into DADGAD. Still, after 40 years there's not a mark on her, she's cherry as pie.

I got a 545SD Shure Unidyne III, not an old one but a brand new one.
It's beautiful I haven't had a chance to plug it in yet due to wedding insanity (not me, I'm still single as a pringle)
The Behringer Model D is working out great, really nice synth.

Received my Serpent audio SA-3A and Send n Blend parts today. Cool to get my hands on these before they are gone. Super stoked to build them with some tweaks.

I had to convince myself to go for it but it wasn't hard. "Monotribe money for something that sounds 95% like a $3,500 Moog" I'm glad I pulled the trigger. It's definitely different to my Slim Phatty (another really strong recommendation for $400 or less used), but it hangs right in there with it, sound wise. One of the best things about it, two things, is how small it is, and how everything has a knob, there are no menus. Build quality is B+, sound quality is an A. I think this is going to be a fun one. I'm really looking forward at the MS-101 from Behringer as well, that I will almost definitely buy. It's a Roland SH-101 clone. I've always wanted one of those.

I've got a model D here, and while I haven't put it side by side with a real Mini, it sounds really good. Haven't had a ton of time on it yet, but it's definitely a keeper.

I bought an Audioscape 76A off Reverb. Replacing my Hairball Revision A, which I sold for more than the Audioscape cost me. I’m sure they are very similar but the Audioscape has a few upgrades that are appealing. Plus, that red light!
I’m inching closer to have my home mix set up done...just a few more pieces to save up for and track down...

There are so many options it's a little hard to navigate.

Cinemas transformers, carbon comp resistors, and that red light! Honestly an unbuilt kit is $600...Audioscape is $699...the time it takes me to build a kit is worth more than a $100. And I think the Audioscape looks better for whatever that’s worth

When a kit costs like built hardware I wonder a little bit.

I like the look and sounds ive heard of the 76A. Price is great too.
I still really want to try a Splice from Serpent though. That seems like the ultimate 1176. Is pricey though.

For what it’s worth I’ve owned a purple, warm, stam & Audio-Scape. I currently own a Serpent & it stands out from the crowd to me.
