New Prince

Great production values and sounds. Genre-wise it seems a little bit in "no-mans land" not quite as smooth as Maxwell (he rips that cops come knocking verse) and not quite funky enough to be in that Rick James pop radio vein. That's the thing with Prince, he's clearly talented and a lot of his stuff is interesting but not always a great song. He's one of those talents that should try "not" self producing all of the time.

It's been along time since Prince has done anything worth listening to. He's a amazing talent but the songs have been pretty lame the last number of years. He's also produced a few artist that have been equally lame. Of course, just my opinion.
