If you get around to doing a silver bullet gear with friends let me know, I will sign up and do some work through and pass it along. I'm definitely in the market for that kind of piece

If you get around to doing a silver bullet gear with friends let me know, I will sign up and do some work through and pass it along. I'm definitely in the market for that kind of piece I don't know what Brad eventually has up his sleeve to get the Silver Bullet into potential buyers hands and market it to the world, but there are certainly plans afoot that we've talked about. Ultimately, we are staying "in house" with sales (NO dealers) to bring the unit in at a relatively unbelievable price. ( $1799 with a readily available coupon as of now...) A price which would skyrocket if we had dealers. I can tell you firsthand that just the cost of parts in this baby belie selling it at anything below $2500, and even higher with dealers. But that $1799 price complicates getting the unit out to a variety of areas (dealers) for demo purposes.... It's a two edged sword for both buyer and seller. As of today, we are days away from shipping the first units with no end in sight for being able to actually STOCK units on the shelf for either demo or reserve. They are selling as fast as Brad can make em. Well....actually faster. Eventually we will do something in the direction of demo units, but right now, there's a 14 day no questions asked return policy, so you can buy without fear of getting "stuck" with something you don't dig. Still, we understand the whole "I gotta demo it" first thing, but we have a lot of ground to cover for up-front paying customers before we can get there - even if it costs us sales. Thanks for the interest. It's exciting to hear peoples take on the new style of workflow that the SB leads the charge on.... Hold on - there should be first hand experiential anecdotes out there in the next couple of weeks I'd guess.

I believe I did express my hatred of the look of it but I will without a doubt be purchasing a line amp tone thingy like the CAPI or this. $1700 isn't a bad price but the Canadian dollar just took another massive blow and it's definitely making the gear buyers wince out this way. Will be paying attention to the dollar and this unit and if they line up I will buy.

I can think of a bunch of manufacturers who would kill to have those problems ! As much as the former gear pimp in me wants to see this in the dealer channel, the world of pro audio sales has changed and the direct route benefits everybody ! Bill my freind, you and Brad know I'm routing for you guys and I hope to some day have one in my hands to play with. In concept I think you guys have come up with the perfect " first piece of outboard " and a great box for those that want to add something to their ITB set up! I know the first things I'm planning on getting in the new year are some Chop Shops !

Will be paying attention to the dollar and this unit and if they line up I will buy. I dig. You gotta see em in person though. Silver wouldn't have been my first choice either, but I'm actually very glad Brad stuck to his guns and made it happen exactly the way he did. It looks very cool - like a macbook air/pro. I love it. Being a mechanical / electronics engineer by trade, Brad is SUPER perfectionistic on both fronts, and the "look" of the unit is top notch and delayed it's birth for longer than I care to think about. IMO, the look is better than almost anything being released in 2015, although I must say that I am partial to stuff that looks like it was drug out of a 1950's broadcast studio basement. Hence my customized photo-prototype Silver Bullet. I'll have to see if I can figure out how to post a pic here.... There's nothing we can do about the dollar to dollar interchange other than sell direct, try to keep the costs down and say "keep your eyes peeled". Cause if it doesn't get better..... But I can honestly say that the $1799US is a steal even if you're in CA. There's nothing else out there that can touch what this box does, and nothing even close quality construction wise. These days most pro audio comes from either the US or the EU, so the Canadian dollar situation is just unfortunate for you guys. I remember the day well not so long ago that the US dollar was completely tanked and the EU and AU guys were buying US gear up by the boatload. It really hurt when I sold my 480L and realized that the Swedish guy that bought it got it at about 40% off.... But that's economics I suppose. The pendulum swings both ways.....

In concept I think you guys have come up with the perfect " first piece of outboard " and a great box for those that want to add something to their ITB set up! I know the first things I'm planning on getting in the new year are some Chop Shops ! Thanks for the kind words Eric! Yeah, I hear ya. We are blessed beyond belief to live and do business in a country like the US. It's one of the reasons I like to donate to help fund micro-finance loans in 3rd world countries. For those so inclined, you should check it out. World Vision has a great program, and there are lots of organizations doing this now as well - moving away from "giving" people money to "giving them an opportunity to start their own business and work hard". I'm excited to help people who are not so blessed as we are with a chance to make their dreams happen for fractions of a cent on the dollar of what it takes to make a business work here. As I thought back about it and realized that both Brad and I made this happen on a shoestring - the HARD way - with elbow grease, smart thinking and hard work, I realized that there are so many on this spinning globe that will never have that chance. Don't get me wrong, it's not like either Brad or I have boatloads of money for a startup, but then again, we don't live on a dollar a day either. We had the money (well, mostly Brad did the financing) to at least find a way to get the Silver Bullet financed. It was difficult, but doable. I know Brad for one will breathe a sigh of relief when he's got the startup capitol paid back. heh heh The Chop Shops are really cool tools IMO. I love them for tracking. Especially for stringed instruments. If I'm in a decent room, I can put up ONE mic, and forget repositioning the mic all day long while the player switches from Uke, to Ac Gtr to Mando to Banjo to Dobro to High Strung to whatever. I just twist the "focus" until I like it and print. It's saved me so much tracking time. As for the Silver Bullet being a "first" piece of Outboard gear, beyond converters, I'd agree - mic pres, mix buss processing, tone magic, a great EQ and killer metering - all in stereo. What else is out there to does most of the things someone needs with outboard. But I wouldn't limit it to that by any means. I will have 4 in my production chain as soon as we get caught up with production (maybe more), and there are a couple of guys (I think they mostly post on the other site) that are putting FIVE Silver Bullets each into their production chain in (IMO) EXTREMELY unique "hybrid approach with recall" ways. Very cool stuff, and I think we're going to see the Silver Bullet start to change the way people think about and approach modern production. If more interested in exactly how, the manual is up on the LTL website and gives a bit of insight into the unique production flow that we designed into the unit. It's not just a plug it into the mix bus or DAW insert sort of box.

you guys should add dsub passive summing. it would only cost a few more bucks and it doesnt take up much space. i think it would open up a whole new market for you.
