I need VK to do the 36 month thing. They must have been high when they set my credit limit.

What would that high finance card to do your credit rating? Read the terms on SW's site. I don't think you can use your own CC either.

Sweetwater is low on their credit limits.... might as well just get like a Southwest card or Amazon rewards card and actually get something back. I honestly don't remember when the last time I paid for a flight. The Amazon one is cool as hell.... Sometimes if I need something that's like $40 or $50 I'll just use the points and not pay a dime. Also, the Prime on Amazon is definitely worth the $99 a year.... that free 2 days shipping and video streaming is great.

Agreed, Jerome. We use the hell out of Amazon here as well.

Well, because there's interest on a CC. No interest on this if its paid off within the time limit.

Correct, but I don't want my name anywhere near a card (or CC company), that's in the neighborhood of a 30% rate. I like Sweetwater and all, but me thinks there's a kick-back for them with that (insane) card company. Why not do like AMS, with their charges on a monthly basis for higher priced items. And you use your own low rate card. I dunno... Somethings up.
Amazon is holding my last order hostage. I ordered a week ago. To get the regular free shipping (non-Prime), they are estimating my order will be here around the second week of Sept. Trying to coax that extra fee for Prime out of me, but this is the longest it's ever taken. Usually about a week or so.

The MI industry has the worst credit of any industry, No kickbacks from boutique cards they just agree to be your in house exclusive credit card and the risk is on them. AMS and ZZounds assume all the risk in there multipay Finacing I wouldn't bet the farm like that but they do!

Well, because there's interest on a CC. No interest on this if its paid off within the time limit. From my experience in sales, the zero interest bait is made up by a ceiling they place on how much they will discount the sale price. So, that's where they get their interest. You pay more for something you could pay less for if you were paying cash today.

My business mentor told me something a long time ago...OPM "always use "other peoples money!" Especially when its free. My only advice to not do something like that is if you are one of THOSE people who are bad with money don't do something like this as it will get you in a hole that is hard to climb out.

The thing to remember is the CC provider wants you to forget about it and not make any payments till after the 36 months and then charge you all that interest !!! Pay it off or move it to a card with better interest in at most 35 months!

That card carries the stigma of someone with pretty bad credit. If a younger person is trying to build credit and fails to make the payments due to unforeseen illness or unemployment, they will hardly get out of that trap. 36 months is a long time to be paying under those terms in somewhat uncertain times, IMO.

I used this 36mo thing to buy my UAD octo card and Sonnet TBolt Chassis. $50/month is what this comes out to for me.

This is the only way I was able to get my Apollo which I'm still paying, and next month I'll get a Korg MS-20 Mini synthesizer. I just love these 0% payment plans. Paypal Credit also offers 6 and 12 month versions of this idea. If you can stay on top of the payments, it's a good deal. For someone like me with a low budget it allows certain bigger purchases to be possible that wouldn't be otherwise.
