that suggested the trick for monitoring just the verb by sending pre fader and then muting the track! Working fantastically!! For the life of me I can't remember who it was...

Do you find that you gotta turn the headphone outs way up when recording in headphones? i gotta put them around -10dB on the symphony to hear myself over my own volume in the room when i'm recording sax.

I monitor with a Hearback system. Not cheap, but man, cuts a lot of hassle out.

oh ok. I was talking about plugging into the symphony's headphone outs directly. The good thing is that I've discovered that the sax is loud enough that I can keep the mic gain low enough to not need to wear headphones while recording. I can just play from the speakers, and use a noise gate set to about -30db and it'll sound like I recorded with headphones. That's actually how I recorded that CV4 Mod video.

It would work for that too...but you're right, not a whole lot of volume in the symphony headphones.

Anytime you are having probs with headphones, just quickly flip the phase on what you are recording... Sometimes it can be phase
