So I think we've got this one dialed in where I want it. This is one file, first pass is the Blueline with no EQ, second is SR k47 with no EQ and last is SR k47 with a little taken out at around 650 Hz and 2 kHz.

ya I rank the in the same reverse order last first, 2nd 2nd and first last,
sounds very different than my 47 here but I have no sta and burl
are those the rca gold, have you tried some Ericsson ?

Sounds fantastic - much more refined than the blueline and seems to hold its weight and fullness more when you push it. I think you'll still be scooping out some mids just due to the nature of the mic, but damn shannon's done it again.

...I like the K47 better than the M7 for the MK-U47, and Shannon's added polish clinches it...take 2 is my favorite...

I really like Shannons capsule..
2 or 3 are great.
1, not so much...(in comparison to the other two)
But I don't think I am a fan of M7 capsules.. I had a bees neez one that I hated (well a couple actually).

...frankly, without a backing track, I'd prefer to hear more dry vocal snippets...the verb in particular is distracting...can you post a raw/untreated version of that same clip? |

It was a k47 lol.. John Mics are some of the hardest to do... Like he will say himself that nasal or "honk" as he calls it , Its not easy to controls the honk and make the rest sound like the heavens lol. I do admit I really like the build.

That really does fit your vocal perfectly John. The track that has been eq'd and is wet is very very good for your voice man. I'd say call off the scrambled jets, set to defcon 5 and hold buddy!

Hey what's your reverb on the I Can't clip? Some lush chamber? It's the UAD EMT 140 - Believe it's The Plant A...I usually pull the size down a little, make sure it's balanced and full stereo width. |

FYI Wanted to say that build is solid I ( being the geek I tore the bitch down ) went through the power supply and mic. Beutiful work !! Although the power supply went through me once. ! Ask John K. What he saw for about 2 sec real time and what seemed like a hour to me. I wasn't paying attention pluging it in LiVe and lets say that it grabbed and shook me to get my attention. Then after shard -Ed my pants Well let see if john can tell it better he was the one that couldn't catch his break while laughing at me getting electrocuted lol. LeT me VERY clear that TONY Chad nothing to do with me being electrocuted it me not paying attention |
