And his fb page says that he'll no longer be making the sa 2a. All is probably well but curious if anyone on RGO purchased gear from Stam.

Website is up again.
I don't think anyone from this forum has received any stuff from me yet, Gearslutz quite a few. Ward and others should have their SA-2A delivered soon.
I must be a scam though, buyer beware.

Better he participate more and assuage people who would like to order, but need some assurances. A few sound files wouldn't hurt either. That said, I just don't get the feeling there's any scamming here, just a guy reaching out from far away.

feelings are nice, but heres the reality pasted from the other thread.
"yeah, unfortunately i can't unread what i already read, the whole "i must be a scam" comment denotes serious inexperience as a business man, that rivals your inexperience as an audio electronics builder/retailer. The reality that you've already had one of OUR trusted members have a direct complaint about you NOT delivering and disappearing on him, was the first red flag, now you have 100's of PREPAID orders that people are waiting for you to make good on, your website's been temporarily down in direct conjunction with a new PREPAY build offer on a 1073, and that threw up some new red flags(have we seen any build pics yet?), and now the attitude of "how dare you question me!?", really? the comment makes you look like a loose gun. I wouldn't buy a thing from you.
BTW, in case you are unaware, a BUNCH of us here and at GDIY know exactly who you are, and understand the rather small amount of experience you possess as an "electronics expert", so if i were you I'd tread very lightly, and rise above the fray before word gets out on some of the extreme Noob style behaviour you've displayed in the not so distant past.
I believe everyone here would like to see everyone get what they're paying for and you to do just great.
DID YOU TAKE CARE OF BLUENOISE YET?"

Post by stam on Jul 30, 2015 22:29:07 GMT -6
You are correct Tony, I am not an experienced business man, business is not my thing. I'll give you that.
I directly dealt with Bluenoise and have evidence (messages and emails) about his claim not being legit, I asked him if we could clarify this missunderstanding but he was not interested, we left it there.
My website was down for a couple of hours due to maintenance, is that really such a big deal ?
People have been pre-ordering 1073's from me for years, It's not something new. =)
I have been questioned on this forum since day one, that did not happen on other forums, I am not angry about it, it's just a bit frustrating, particularly since I have refunded everyone who has cancelled and have been very open and honest about the entire process of things and have offered over and over again to show invoices, orders from reputable manufacturers (Drip, Cinemag, Carnhill, etc..) providers and having positive reviews as well on other forums for this same products.
Like I said before, nobody more than me want's to ship these units and any other batch in the future, as a bad business man that I am I made a huge investment in parts, which you probably know that a small deposit does not cover....
I will not comment on your "we know who you are" cause you don't, you don't know what I have studied, where and who I have worked with and what I have desgined. We can have a phone conversation whenever you like.
Cheers

Stam may be the most honest dude on the planet. But he should realize that the thread reads like an elaborate scheme.

You mean the part where a 11 year GS member and platinum record producer tested the SA-2A ?
He happens to have the best ears in Chile and due to obvious reasons it was easy for me to send him one, just 2 hours away from my workshop.
This is getting silly now and I really don't have time for this (no disrispect), I guess units will speak for themselves, take care.
Cheers.

Let's assume you're completely honest and just running behind your original promise to ship units by May. I truly hope that's the case. But what you need to understand is that the potential gear buyers that frequent RGO have a right to healthy skepticism of any new gear manufacturer. Try putting on a little thicker skin and ask yourself why people here and on GS have concerns. Whether you realize it or not you're high on hyperbole but short on hard facts. For example, when you say "the engineer with the best ears in Chile" has tested your SA 2A that means nothing to me. Does he have a name? Is there video or online proof of him putting his reputation on the line by standing behind your product? No one on RGO wishes to defame you. In fact many here have been very supportive of you. But I personally think you need a lot more proof and backing from the audio community before I would pre-purchase your gear. You need to except the need for healthy skepticism and respond to the public's concerns when they arise. Sarcasm and defensiveness just won't cut it.

I fail to see why you would assume otherwise, I have ripped off anyone here or on GS or any other forum on the internet ?
I can totally understand skepticism, all though I have never heard of a company doing a scam with pro audio products, I am the new guy and I am from abroad,so I can totally accept that. That's not the point nor problem, the problem is that my integirty was questioned since day one when I did not even come to this forum to post my products, shortly after they posted my stuff here I contacted the administration several times offering invoices, orders and direct contact with reputable manufacturers in the US who work with other companies here to proof that I was legit and buying in bulks from them... I never heard back, not a single line. If they were really that concerned about their fellow forum members being ripped off they would have taken action or perhaps given me an answer of some sort. They didin't, they just were happy to post everytime "Buyer beware" , which is fine, but not really what helps the situation for any of both parties, so after a while of the same thing over and over again I just decided to not care anymore. My clients write to me via email, the SA-2A is sold out so I don't really care on what people think about me on that thread, I have nothing to gain from it, the only thing I care about is delivering quality products to people that have trusted me with building their gear with their hard earned cash.
You can ask Keith Morrison who has #1 Billboard tracks in the US and has recently bought his second LA-2A from me, or Javier Bassino (Izzy Rock from GS), or Faith No More's Bassists who I am meeting here in September to deliver a 1073 preamp... etc... or just ask Ward in a few weeks when he gets his unit.
Cheers.

Stam, give it some time. Less participation here, as in " I really don't have time for this" is the worst response you could have. There are so many respected professionals here at Real Gear, why wouldn't you make the time? After all, they're your target market, no?
If any one of the guys here gets one of your products, they will surely help you gain a good reputation here, and I guarantee your sales will skyrocket.
Let's be clear about something, EVERYONE here is rooting for you. A well made, affordable alternative to classic gear is a godsend to those of us struggling to reach quality levels similar to good studios, but on a budget. So. I suggest you both lighten up and toughen a bit, and participate more.
Think you've got it rough here, try being Steven Slate ;-) That guy's reaching for the moon and the stars, but has a habit of promising them to you soon, and then not delivering for a couple of years! So he takes a boatload of crap from some nasty characters, as well as some well deserved criticism from respected engineers and musicians, and still, he maintains a positive attitude and a good sense of humor. The good side of that is occasionally, he does something that's fantastic.
We wish you well, don't shy away, come on up to the boards here, the weather's fine.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for your kind message. I will always make time to participate, I did not want it to come across as arrogance or being angry, I am not, not at all, I was referring specifically to the "Red flag, he is a Scam" issue. I won't participate in that anymore. I have a website, email and phone number and I am always available for any questions, custom work or helping out on deciding what to purchase for your studio.
Thanks again.

I've said enough on the topic. Have a great day all!
