I think they hit all of the "in" bro country hey words, clearly inspired by FGL.

They need to stop driving around in trucks in these videos, a Prius Hybrid might be more fitting.

I don't care what genre it is, what does it say about our country that so many songs are about a "lifestyle".?
Personally, I think the labels think we're a country of intellectual and emotional midgets. And the sad thing is, they are contributing to the devolution.

Ha yeah I saw that. I think he means he wants to hear more songs about lift kits and such. Sadly he's getting his wish.

I thought Lift Kit/UpInIt was the best lyric line in "Cruise". That was one crappy truck in the Chris Lane video. No lift kit there. I did like the guitar solo.

The guitars in that track are tops. Too bad the song is unlistenable because of the crappy lyrics. Hell I'd like to see Nashville release some instrumentals. The music these days is as good or better than it's ever been. Content is absolutely embarrassing. Serious question here... Do these new artists today have no shame or self respect? Or is it that this whole iPhone generation is so desensitized to human interaction that they are honestly clueless to the fact that this type of lyricism sucks? Are we doomed from heretofore?

The same thing happened when Hair Metal flooded the market and killed real Metal. Eventually both empires fell.

It's a hard thing. Everyone tells you you're great. And things are fucking golden. I mean, what the hell? It's a hard thing. I don't know what else to say

It's just pop country bull$hit. There's plenty of great new country music around. These guys get traction because they're handsome and can sing a little. Then a producer plugs them in to the matrix, and out comes generic country rock, version 9.1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8
If it stopped selling, you'd never hear it. Don't forget, this is for 13-17 year olds.

His hair looks like an FGL member too.....
The good news is less and less of these are hitting the market. It's not as bad as it was about 2 years ago.... damn it was never-ending. At least some awareness is going on now and these guys are all on the defensive.
And I can't ever really say anything bad about Brain Kelley specifically, only because he went to FSU and that's like my sacred brotherhood and anyone that is a fan or alumni, we all just have to be tight. Jake Owen too, although I like Jake, I think once this shit is blown over he'll put some good songs out.
