Compared these side by side to Focal CMS 65's, Focal Solos's, Adam Ax7's. Took my own reference mixes to the dealer. And these just blew me away. I NEED A PAIR.
For me they were very detailed, nice tight bottom. Great clarity. They just sounded right.

Ugh.. I just got my Adam A7X's around 4 - 5 months ago. I'll have to check these out now. I was satisfied there was nothing better at this price point, but they are just a pinch boomy. My positioning could be at fault, but maybe not...

I bought my Pro Acs off of CL for $1500 and used Emotiva stuff is just disgustingly cheap on ebay. There were some XPA-1 mono blocks for half price of new on there for the longest.
I will admit, used Pro Acs are somewhat hard to come by...but VK sells them for $1999. It was always the Power Amp that stopped me from pulling the trigger. I was scared I would have to put $3000+ into a Bryston...but I can absolutely vouch that the Emotiva stuff sounds fantastic. The XPA-2 can be a little bright, but I wouldn't say any brighter than A7x's...I'm using two XPA-1L's and they just sound freaking fantastic. The Sta ultimately had to go because of getting them, but I'm happy with my decision. How can you judge anything if you're not truly hearing it?

I've listened to the KH120s. I thought they were a little muted in the top end compared to my A7s. I really liked the sound of them.

I think that was a great decision JK, you actually got me motivated to get off my ass and do something about my Mackie hr824's, I know them very well, and they've served, but i've really been needing to step up the monitoring, so i did the J williams modded adcom, and i'm probably going to build those proac knock off's, unless i find a great deal on the real ones??

I actually went into the store to have a listen to the Adams & Focals. But yeah, as soon as I heard the Neumanns they blew me away!! I really liked what I was hearing. Also I havent read a bad review on them. I reckon they'll sound awesome through my Dangerous music box.

I almost got the neumanns until I found a great deal on the JBL LSR4328P set.

I was thinking of the Neumanns, but thought I might need a sub with them, which I didn't want. I decided to go with The Rocks instead.

I love mixing with a sub...On critical stuff, I'll use a footswitch that defeats the sub when I want to check...

I'm not too fuzzed about mixing with a Sub.
The bottom on these were pretty impressive. I actually asked the guy if the sub was on in the shop. And he just laughed and said I told you these are worth a listen.
The weird thing is at first, I didnt really care to listen to them. Not sure if it was because of their size. They just looked so timny compared to the Focals. Sure glad I did.

I think the sub/foot-switch idea is great if you have an excellent room. I don't, so it would be difficult to properly integrate a sub. I've never heard the KH120's, but I've heard nothing but great things about them. I'm sure you'll love them!

You have to love the Klein+Hummel studio monitors, hmm, i had'nt had the chance to hear the new ones...unfortunately... They just sounded damn fine, all, the O96/O98, the O198 and the O300, and so will be the successors .....just....revealing weaknesses? Still have an old pair O98 around. Don't want to part with them. It had a reason they sold them all in thousands to the official german broadcast stations (before the Geithains...) I would wait for the next bigger monitor in the new Neumann-rebranded K+Hs series to come out, but well, those KH120s are...affordable...and i bet they are worth every penny... Did you hear the active or the passive version, lolo?

I heard the actives. Dont let the size fool you! As i mentioned earlier I compared them to adam ax7, focal cms65's an focal solos. And Volume is not a problem with them.
Cant wait to get these

I've been using KH120a's for going on a year now. Everything translates beautifully. Great low end, solid ugly mids (which you need) and a natural high end that doesn't cut your head off or cause ear fatigue OR WORSE cause you to create dull sounding mixes. Highly recommended!!
