Hi Guys, Sorry for my late reply, I don't check forums frequently as I keep in touch with clients via email. With regards to the delivery date, this varies as I build 2 a day, I have a strict quality control in place, one for the pcb components, one for the transformers and capacitors, then an audio test at the studio and then I let it burn for 24 hours. I also do sweeps for each unit and noise measuring, so 2 units go out a day, 130 guys on the list, you can have it in July or August depending on when you ordered. I have made this clear to clients via email and everybody seems fine with it so far. As for the TRS and XLR, they are both pcb mounted (Stereo link as well). Any questions let me know! Cheers, Joshua Interior pics?

Sorry guys, I didn't get the time. The SA-2A is sold out, in the process of completing 130 PCB's, testing tubes, etc.. time is not on my side and I have faced several delays due to suppliers being late and a customs strike in Chile that lasted 2 weeks which delayed some parts even further.
I have booked a photoshoot for Thursday for the SA-2A and other gear I've made (1073, 312, U/87, etc...), I'll upload them when I can, priority is to send those pics out to clients who ordered
Cheers.

I only speak for myself. I'm not concerned so much about the time frame or how long it takes, as to getting the units built, tested and received as promised.

Wonder if we'll ever see the inside of that either? ...I edited my post to answer your question...I believe he's going to build only a couple of the U87 and U67 clones... I uploaded pictures from the inside on our 312's and SA2A to our facebook page quite some time ago. I also added a picture of the PCB here. The reason for the delay on the inside pictures is because I want HQ pics of one of the production SA-2A, not prototype or sample or pictures taken with my phone, this is why I have booked a photoshoot and will be uploading them to our website.

linkHere is a pic of the inside of a prototype. Main difference with the current one I am making is that the input transformer is attached with a clip and not glue, I didn't have the clip available then. There is also bit more spacing between them and the cabling is overall neater. There is also an internal division for the toroidal transformer and the pcb is a few mm closer to the ground connection (less than 5mm). I should have those new pics soon.

Did anyone ever receive a unit ? If so well what ya think? Stam has announced a 1073 clone I've got first and second deposits on two SA-2A units. Haven't heard of anyone receiving one. Seems a little premature to announce a presale for a 1073.

Well, at least he's not off the radar. Replied at the purple site a couple days ago. Says he's waiting for chassis. And that he's not doing much forums, so better email him. I haven't ordered but I keep my fingers crossed for you guys that have.

Seems a little premature to announce a presale for a 1073. I probably put the deposit down on #3 then, in that case, and sent him another $210. Total of $310. And he offered me a refund if I got tired of waiting too. I haven't lost faith in Joshua, yet, and he told me that I would get mine at the end of August.

I should clarify a few things.
First of all, the 1073 and U-67 have been for sale for months now, before the SA-2A was even announced, I have been building 1073's for customers for over 3 years. Those batches are coming out in November and people are pre-ordering at a disccounted rate. I have not made it public on forums or my website because my focus now is on shipping these 150 SA-2A's that got sold.
Secondly, I have offered at all times a refund for people who don't want to wait or are concerned about the delay and keep them on the list anyway in case they want to buy it when it's ready. Trust me, I have not made a single penny out of this so far, quite the contrary, so it's also on my best interest that these units are ready asap.
I faced some problems with an international wire transfer to one of my providers (chassis) and it took me 6 weeks to get the money back (not the providers fault) just to re-wire it. As soon as that provider has the funds in his account he will ship all chassis and faceplates which are ready and have been ready for weeks. All PCB's have been soldered so I hope to get the job done quickly.
If anybody has further concerns or want a refund please send me an email via the website. I don't think I will be visiting this forum or posting again so if you want to contact me or are concerned about your product, email me or call, I'm always available
Thanks
Joshua

I sent this e-mail to Cinemag based on concern expressed on this site and got the following response. This lead to the above post by Stam Audio.

I've sent 2 deposits to Stam audio along with many others for their SA-2A compresser. His web site currently down and no one has received a unit. We we are starting to wonder if this is ligit. He states he is using your audio transformers in this build. Has he ordered or received these transformers from your company. Could you please shed some light on this matter and help us confirm the reality of this situation. Thank you, Robert Dire Winetree Recording
Hi Robert; We are completing a production run of transformers now for Mr. Van Der Stam's SA-2A compressor. I designed new transformers specially for him that are not found in any other OEM equipment. I am sending him a copy of this email so that he knows that there is a technical problem with his web site. If you have any trouble communicating with him, let me know and I will hook you up. All the best,

Joshua, when I get your unit and if it's close to what I'm expecting.... you'll get a great review here. And believe me, you want to be a part of this. We have (collectively) done a lot to help Warm Audio's and CAPI's businesses here!!

Honestly one of the biggest and most important parts any commercial endevor is having the capital for those oh crap moments! Dude cut back , raise the price a bit and get your reputation back! That's free advice from somebody who people in our world PAY BIG $ to get advice from! I pray you listen and survive before you piss the wrong guy with a litigious lawye, and if you don't listen believe me you will find that guy! Joshua we are rooting for you just like we want Ross Martin to succeed!
