What the hell did Roseanne Cash win for? Americana or roots or whatever the Grammy's call it. Record, Song, something else ??.I'd look it up but I'm off to the pub while the kitchen's still open. Mmmmm, chicken wings. And beer. Don't forget the beer. Anywho, I think her last record was crazy good - deserves all the Grammy's it won and more. Yes but remember the period where an orchestra got a big portion of their donors to join just so they could rig the vote! Most of the voters are over 60 they remember the name they vote for it! |

If award shows went away-in any entertainment medium- I wouldn't shed a tear.
That being said, if Tenacious D is the best metal band then Spinal Tap needs to win a Grammy too.

Funny story (indirectly) about Tenacious D.
A couple years ago 12 guys went to Vegas for my bachelor party. We had tickets to see Steel Panther at the House of Blues at 11pm. I guess Tenacious D was playing at the same venue, but an early 7-10 show. Well, I guess a fight broke out at the Tenacious D show and someone got stabbed. We showed up for the Panther show, cops were everywhere and they were searching the parking garage for the guy that did the stabbing. Anyway, they had to cancel the Steel Panther show because the place was an active crime scene. Total let down.

anyone here pick up a win? i picked up 2 nominations via two gospel albums i worked on that were nominated. a lot of my friends on FB received nominations for their work on more known genres. It kinda makes me think that it's not hard to get nominated for a grammy once you know the right people in a particular genre...
