You know-I dropped Chad an email over Black Friday--they supposedly had that SPL unit he was supposed to be letting me know when I could demo on sale....and in stock....yet I heard nothing from them. It wasn't really a rush, so I didn't think about it again until you mentioned that.....are they OK down there? He's usually back to me same day....next if it's a weekend, maybe.

I texted him too...no reply. I think they're short staffed. And they're Vintage King. They could care less whether we buy from them...

If I were a guitar player, a Joe Glaser fret job would be at the top of my list.

Two things: 1. Crane Song Falcon because it sounds sooo good. 2. Izotope RX. I love funky old amps and instruments and RX noise reduction allows me to use them and more importantly EQ them without boosting unwanted noise. I'll never go back.

Ugh...just found a Collings almost exactly like the one I played. For $1000 less. Calgon, take me away.

Wait till I come down next week. I'll bring some acoustics for you to try you might like, Custom Shop D 41, this old HD 28 (which sounds AMAZING) but has a slight playability issue, and a couple of Vintage J 45's. Make you a right price on any of them if your interested just so I can kind of "keep em in the family" type thing.
I'll probably leave this old 28 with Glaser and let him work his magic (needs a neck reset and fret job). It's defiantly worth getting back up to top spec.

I couldn't get a decent acoustic sound in Detroit to save my life. When I got to San Francisco, I learned about Larry Crag and the difference setup makes to a guitar sound especially when optimized for a specific set of strings and tuning. I'd say it's a hell of a lot more important to sound than any particular guitar or microphone.
