Just another gushing ZOD post. Just finished a record with ZOD bass, no amps, no amp sims. Back through the ZOD at mix. Tracked to tape, mixed to tape on the Ampex machines.
Hands down one of the best pro audio purchases I've ever made.
We mastered yesterday from tape at BGM.
I'll post a sample once it's all approved.
ZOD for life.

Tracked my Danelectro Baritone thru the Zod today. Even with me playing (I DON'T play bass...) it was amazing. And no, not trading for any Epiphone anytime soon.... |

I'd need a good DI for bass, gtr and synths. Curious how this compares to a V72 DI sound?

It's usually guys that split their upright into a Walter Woods head and the electric gets some extra soul from the V71, then into the Woods. These guys always sound great, but these guys would probably sound great through a $30 DI too. |

The Tab V71 is a nice box, however I will have a ZOD, and that is not ZOD at all.

Just wanted to bump this thread and let everyone know that this DI by ZOD is a incredible piece of gear and a gem. II was recently finishing a hard rock/metal album, and once the mixing had started, I realized the bass was not there. I got the ZOD ID Bass DI and re tracked all the bass through it. It was unbelievable how much better the bass, and low end in general of the entire mix came into its own. Anyone looking for a Bass DI needs to check this DI out!!
