You're just focused on the wrong thing, John. Do some collaboration. Do a road trip specifically for songwriting. Record some friends. Get your mind off of gear and focus on the gift. Well, he'll have a guest soon in Nashville who is bringing at least 20 unfinished songs with him to pick from and hopes to do some productive collaborating with!

That sounds like a blast - I'm jealous. Years ago, I had the privilege of collaborating.... hasn't happened in years. Have a good time, John.

I think my gas has passed. I was building a track last night and ended up using the CV4 and the Heider. Just beautiful. I also went to the Crack Store (Artisan Guitars) and played a couple. Yeah - there were some amazing ones...A Collings Varnish CW that was amazing...and a really nice Santa Cruz D/PW...but when I got home and picked mine up I really realized it's hard to beat. Definitely gonna keep it.
I thought about selling the Burl and the Apollo and going back to the Symphony, but after selling those and buying a Quad satellite, I'd only end up with about $500 extra...Really not worth the trouble for the lateral move. I think I'm satisfied with what I have now!
