I just updated to C13 on Sept 23…really disappointed in Steinberg that I don’t qualify for the grace period. Their grace period is less than 1 month. Its probably worth trying customer support.

Yeah I probably should. I’ve been on Cubase since version 3…that should count for something. But who knows

This should have been a .5 update.
This was a bait and switch and they knew it. SMH.
At least reaper don’t pull this crap.
I am aggravated by that tactic.

This should have been a .5 update. This was a bait and switch and they knew it. SMH. At least reaper don’t pull this crap. I am aggravated by that tactic. They stopped doing .5 updates. Because people complained it was a bait and switch. So now it’s a full version once a year. So for the price of decent meal out with Mrs Tenor I get to use the latest greatest version of the software that makes my entire studio work - personally that seems reasonable to me. And if I want this update for half the price (a meal for just me and leave Mrs Tenor at home) then I just need to wait until next spring when they do their sale at 50% to grab those that wouldn’t upgrade at the full price. It’s all relative, but updating Cubase yearly is just about the cheapest part of running my studio. Don’t get me started on guitar and bass guitar string prices !!!!
