I'd love some more detail on this. How far apart are the monitors? By off axis I assume you mean they are angled to aim at your head, not at the mic? Are you doing the thing where you record a dummy track and flip the polarity? Looking to try this soon. Every headphone arrangement, including the one talked about in this thread, feels like a compromise.
