I just got back from a session where I was the bass player, not the AE. A sphere mic was used on several tracks. I was under the assumption I could download the demo when got back to my studio, choose the best mic models and then just render them in place before the trial expired.
Try as I might, I can’t figure out how to demo just the software. It’s not available to demo (as far as I can tell) when I log into my UA account, even though I can demo all the other native plugins.
Am I an idiot? Is it there and I just don’t see it? For reference I’m NOT using an Apollo or US dsp, everything is native.

Believe you have to own the mics to use the software

I believe that is the case with native only (UADx). With the DSP products, there is a Sphere or Townsend plugin in the bundle (and even though I don't own the mic, the Townsend plugin was showing active for a long time - not sure if it still does since they changed the name to Sphere (*edit** the Sphere plugin still shows in my UA account even though I've never owned the Sphere or Townsend mic). Of course it did not do much since I did not own the mic (I think it loaded and may have been able to do a few things with it).

From ua site, think John is right , looks like , you need to own the mike ( have it registered in your ua account).

Well, the software only works with the sphere mike, so a demo with another mike would be inaccurate?

Thanks but I’m not looking to buy the mic, just need the software to render a few tracks with the proper mic emulation.
I’m going to make a new post asking if anyone with the mic can help me out. Surely someone on here owns one.
