This looks very interesting! Have been waiting for a decent interface with transformer pres and inserts. This one even allows for auditioning inserts in and out great! What is everyones experience with BLA gear? I must honestly say despite many seem to like what they are doing, I have only bad experience with their gear and customer service (maybe wrong to say bad as i never received any service despite several attempts). I think I would personally look into MOTU 828(2024) and Arturia 16rig in this case in this category and price range. Unfortunately I have corroborate this… non-existent customer service after several attempts… buy at your own risk. Though this is negative, I feel it should be shared.

I will chime in regarding experience - I had two different conversions done (original Apollo silver face rack mount and original Apollo Twin). I also purchased a Revolution 2x2.
All three experiences delivered what was promised, on time and for the quoted amount, but all three greatly exceeded my fairly high expectations.
In fact, my sole complaint with the Revolution was a question regarding the digital in on the 2x2, and that did seem to fall on deaf ears for a few emails. But once I did receive a response from that, my question was answered.
I am very much a candidate for this new piece, as it addresses two of the things I still used my Apollo X for - namely routing to external gear, and additional headphone monitoring.
It may not be for everybody, of course, but it sure looks perfect for me.

As soon as I found support for a basic question did not exist I happily returned it. By voting with my wallet I resolved the issue 100%, and avoided future frustration. When a company chooses not to support the customer in the sales phase of the process, they never will... no more Black Lion Audio for me. There is plenty of competition in the industry. BLA having no phone number on the web site is telling of their customer support. Others may have more positive experiences, but this is mine.

Winning combination of features. Would be especially interested in a higher (especially input) i/o count, with the same amount of built in pres/inserts etc. Hopefully a possibility later down the line. Looks to be a great unit, stellar value!

Well fair enough. I have had what I consider abysmal customer service from a company not noted for their costumer service. I have not named them here. Yet. Still trying to get stuff sorted. Sometimes companies need to be called out.

Yeah you really nailed this one, but over the years I have had a bunch of companies ask ( some paid ) how can I help these people whose emails and messages get lost? For most the answer is sadly simple and ever so basic: TURN OFF THE SPAM FILTER & READ ALL YOUR EMAILS! Yeah it’s a pain but that’s THE JOB!!!!! Let’s say JK is a manufacturer, I work for the Harris Walz campaign, I don’t know that he has marked their email as spam, if I send an email from work how should I know that ? Yeah kind of dumb, but you wouldn’t believe how many companies big or small have gotten a bad rap because of this. Of course sadly the inverse is true if you make a Customer service enquirery TURN OFF YOUR SPAM FILTER! Now if you want some backup & the Vendor is active here, easy to forward conversations to JK before posting, backup is good.

I AM the party ; ) Kidding aside, clearly my comments are directed solely at Black Lion Audio, and not directed at Seth. He is trying to help by jumping into the conversation, and that is appreciated. BLA is just not a good fit for me, and that's ok. Regarding BLA, what can I say, some days you are the windshield.... and some days you are the bug.... hopefully they pull it together. I did like the BLA piece I had and was conflicted about returning it, but feel I made the right long term decision. Lastly, and perhaps ironically, I notice RAD Distribution includes Heritage Audio (I own a few pieces), and though they are based in Spain, their website includes a customer support phone number.

You can’t use the unit standalone as an adc and dac like that but because the unit has per channel inserts, you could use the unit as a standalone preamp with 2x channels of auteur and 2x channels of revolution preamps
