As much as I’ve grown tired of UA, Capitol Chambers is my favorite vocal verb. I was using it non stop for a while when it came out. When SoundToys released SuperPlate, that was it. They sound really different, but all the extra options on SuperPlate kind of have me hooked right now. So interesting. I can't find a place for Capitol Chambers or Superplate. Reverbs are soooo song dependent, though. I've definitely tried both and used them, I just find myself putting them on and deciding I like others better. If I were doing more orchestral, indie, ambient stuff, I could see using them more.

So...just tried Superplate on the vocal of a mix I'm working on...killer. I stand corrected.

Uh...like one of the best I've gotten. Thanks for making me listen again!
EDIT: OK...not so much. I remember why I don't pull it up that much now. The EQ on it is kinda limiting...and I tend to sit there and goof around where on others like the EMT 140, I feel like I can just pop it on and get there quicker.

The auto-ducking feature on Superplate is what really stands out to me as something that takes it over the top.

Annnnd just like that...Capitol Chambers was perfect on a steel part... I was listening to John Gray's album(great unknown player) and it just had that old Capitol sound. Tons of chamber verb. 1962 I think. I was able to get in that neighborhood with some tube sim and tape plugs with the Capitol chambers. Really cool how close it gets.
