Thinking of upgrading from 12. Steinberg is offering a great deal right now. Anyone using Cubase 13 on a Mac? I'm running OS Monterey 12.6.3 on a Mac Studio. Thanks

Cubase 13 has been more stable than 12 on my Mac. I had some crashes in 12. It seems like 13 is quicker and handle the resources better as well. I’m on a M1 Os13.

Cubase is a stable genius, that's what I'm told. People tell me it's the most stable software they've ever seen. Truly, the most stable software. People said it couldn't be done. Nobody's ever seen anything like it.
EDIT: Sorry. Haha.

For me, it has some bugs I don't have in 12. Variaudio is often flaky and makes it crash. I've seen other people mention the same thing.

I use Cubase 13 every daily often all day long - often 10 hour sessions.
I'm switching beteen huge projects using sometimes 100+ plugins and VI's and huge sample libraries.
4 different MIDI controllers and Stream Deck XL.
20 channels I/O
And I never have a single crash or hic-up of any sort.
Now I should add I run my system on a pro Bulit (Scan 3XS) workstation on Windows 11 and reading this thread I find myself now wondering if Cubase is STILL more of a Windows oriented app even though Steinberg say it's 100% cross platform.
I'm about to buy a 16" Mac Book Pro for my office/Teaching/Writing room and I was planinng on putting Cubase 13 on it and Logic X.
I'll be interested to see if Logic X runs way better than Cubase 13 being an apple flagship app built for OSX - bet it does by a wide margin.

Cubase/Nuendo 13 is better than 12. No issues and I use it every day. I'm on a PC running the latest Windows 11 with a Lynx Aurora (n).

Thanks to both of you guys for mentioning this. I've been a Logic user since about 2002 (Pro Tools before that), and though I don't generally have any real complaints with Logic, an old production partner of mine was a Cubase user and we did several projects together at his place in Cubase. I was always impressed with Cubase, and have considered picking it up a few times over the years. I'm actually going to have to consider it now with this deal. This is the cheapest I've ever seen it.

It also qualifies you to get 70% off their other offerings…thinking I’ll finally pick up Wavelab after upgrading

That makes both Wavelab AND Spectralayers more enticing. I've been really curious about Spectralayers in particular, as you can well imagine...

I upgraded Cubase but only received voucher codes for Dorico, Wavelab and Absolute, but not Spectralayers. Did you get one for Spectralayers?

I wasn't sure if Spectralayers was part of the deal. It is great though. I bought the upgrade a few months ago and it saved an album. Super powerful.

Damnit. Does it ever go on sale around Black Friday or any holidays? im sure it’ll be on sale soon. Also, it looks like I can currently get it for $366 at Thomann. Maybe I should just pull the trigger on that? That's not that much more than what it was going for when it was on sale last month.
