Sounds great. Communist mics are a trip. The first mic I ever spent any real money on was a Lomo 19A19. Still have it, still use it, still sounds great. Works on so many things. Bonus points for looking so cool.

I really wish they would go back to their heritage name: Neumann-Gefell, The mics are incredible! Thank you so much Christian! Yeah, but when it came to selling them it was confusing as hell. Customers would call a non Gefell dealer who sells Neuman and ask for a Neumann um92, dealer would tell them there is no such Neumann, client thinks your not selling a real Neumann.

Christian you have a great Rock Voice. (great voice period too) On a "softer" toned voice (Paging Mel Torme' ) IMHO... A U47/U67/U87/251/C12 etc... would have more "cut" in a Heavy Mix. Quite different from a Primo 47 Tube, in any event. Chris

What I like about the CMV is that it has a great presence, but instead of the sometimes annoying K67 "ring," the M7 seems to have a higher resonance around 4 kHz, which is a bit easier on the ear. Conclusion: with a CMV563 (or M49) and an M269, you don't need anything else for anything, haha! I'm not a fan of the U47 or U67, as I've written many times before.

Not to mention the M7 has that dimensionality, an ability to place you in a space magically with just a single mic.

Ive had a few over the years. mainly because we used to get those super cheap. one I put a new tab transformer in it.sounded great. had the new one for a few weeks.the reissue was spot on. darker than a 47.a bit smaller sounding but still has that nice classic Neumann mid vibe

You have Sennheiser and Sennheiser sonova. I don't think the consumer cares but it's a bit weird when you are a dealer having to deal with two Sennheiser's haha. The Neumann logo is a classic, the Gefell not so much in my book. Anyways I'm glad I got the opportunity to own a Neumann Gefell 🤣

These are usually not product people but clerks, even Sony has one central ordering System. The division is also weird Sonnova got commercial & consumer, most Consumer dealers don’t sell a lot of commercial and vise versa. I had a great relationship with Sennhiser Commercial/ Consumer because they hired one of my old Clients as VP, Kristy Jo Knew for most applications I had a number of alternatives.
