Great. Thanks for the reply. Think deluxe is the one. One last thing, I assume the deluxe can still be used for tracking (mono) and individual (solo) tracks at mixing time as well?same as the twin When will they be available? Will prob place my order in the next couple of days Yes definitely. The dual mono / stereo link switch allows you to use each channel as dual mono, the same as the Twins, but kicking in the stereo output allows the stepped pot to be used in their place for more precise attenuation. The stereo link only changes the output attenuator routing, so you can set all left right switching the same for stereo, or make creative L/R variances if desired but still be stereo linked at the output attenuator.

I appreciate your honesty about the "mastering console" version, I can live with what I have till I can evaluate that vs. the current deluxe version of your monitor controller. Thank you and take care! And I appreciate the interest! I definitely don't want to try to sell you on something you might not need. The "mastering console" as we were calling it about 5 months ago could be a ways off or may wind up a custom shop thing.Because out of a large amount of mastering engineers originally in the loop with it, no two wanted anything the same. Depending on which of your requested features were most important, you may be able to add some simple devices to hold you over easier. If you needed more switched monitor outs, something like a simple clean selector box could do the trick and be made super cheaply and not take up much real estate. Same with a phase reverse. Thats not more than a simple toggle switch. Anyways, thanks again for the questions!

He's come through for me in a pinch before when I needed some specific nickle cores to try out. To the point of "borrowing" some laminations from another company just to get them done. But he's always in demand so one never knows. I'm trying to get an order into him early just because I know it can be hit or miss.

Any audio samples? Soon. I wished I had them already. To make it fair, I am letting an outside studio do a full audio review with sound samples and all the workings of the unit, with a video tutorial as well. However, since they will be keeping the unit now, I wanted it to be 100% the same as the production models and not a mess, so I have to wait for a couple of small parts to arrive to make the internals look pretty enough since many of the prototypes had been re-worked so many times over the last 7 months.

What would it take to get a talkback on the monitor controller? potentially a future model. For the current models, the goal was to keep it simpler and the focus was just on a clean passive path. The mic will add to price by adding a mic pre to the circuit, although for TB mic, the amp won't need to be anything special. After preorder madness is over, I will be more open to custom work again as well.

Thanks again guys, and sorry for the delayed reply to these posts. It was my anniversary this weekend, which was awesome right up until getting food poisoning yesterday. Back to the grind now though. Hope everybody's weekend was great!

Just placed an order for the Wooly Mammoth Deluxe. Just had to. I don't have anything like it. Gotta stop the GAS. Hey Winetree! I have a hunch that my emails to you are winding up in your spam folder or something. Sent a lengthy reply to you the other day, but just got the same email from you again. If you see this, check your spam folder to be safe. I also PM'd you and sent you an email from one of my other addresses just to be safe. Thanks, and hope this finds you.

So wow $800! I cant wait to hear the Wooly Mammoth. I would love to put 8 channels of something like this in front of my clean console when summing from the DAW. I should probably get in line.

I've waited a couple of weeks now and never heard anything back from my email, so I'll ask it here. Seems to be getting some answers on this board....
1. Is the credit card charged when it ships, or when the order comes in? 2. Based on current order status, how long until we can expect shipments? 3. What's your refund policy?

I very much remember you from the the old days of hanging around gearslutz. I'm sorry, I thought I had replied to any and all emails. Although, I know on the second day of the presale a bunch of my emails didn't go through because my internet was acting funky. Thought I caught them all though. If I missed it, I am terribly sorry. I did get a little overwhelmed in the first week. I'm about to go check my email again now and will do a search for anything missed with your name on it. During the pre-order sale, I was charging first, in order to use the funds to place some large parts orders to build everything. I am continuing to do it that way until I decide one way or another about distribution. I have a bunch of great distributors interested, but being a one man operation, I may just keep it all in house. Right now, with the huge response to the preorder sale, any new orders are roughly a month to 5 weeks out. Possibly sooner, but I'd rather give a later estimate and ship early if possible. That time frame will be increasing if the response doesn't die down. I may have to hire my wife to help with some soldering. laugh, but until 3 years ago she owned a nicer soldering iron than I did, and used to yell at me for stealing her solder all the time As for a refund policy, I stand by what I build. Simplistic designs, and quality parts. If you don't like it, then I don't think you should be stuck with it.

That's exactly what inspired the design. Until things die down, the line is quickly growing. I'm actually holding off on any advertising, promotion or even trying to solicit the gear on any websites because it's already bordering on more than I can handle.

DrBill, I went back and checked and found an email from you at the beginning of the pre-sale that was unanswered. I would like to personally apologize. I try to be pretty timely with my replies but somehow I missed it. Again, my apologies. I just emailed you.

From Facebook... "Alrighty, moved into the new shop and finishing up the unpacking in anticipation of the last of the crucial parts for the Wooly Mammoth and DI builds arriving later this week. Can't wait to start moving these out. The units waiting on parts are spilling into all corners of the shop and garage. Here's a couple shots of some units being unpacked and put back into the assembly line to be finished."

Coming along. Winetree, I'll be sending out another newsletter tomorrow or Saturday with this week's updates. Finally received three big boxes of long awaited transformers from Edcor last night and the nickel wounds are scheduled to arrive today. That combined with build times per unit taking me longer than I anticipated, I've been a little behind where I thought I would be. Tough being a one man operation. Thanks Jesse for sharing a couple pics from facebook. I took a few days to move into the new space and am now set up with a little more elbow room, which was needed. I've got stacks of gear overflowing from the pre-order that are half finished because of parts delays. Now that the last of supplies are finally getting to me, I'll be hammering out the rest of the builds in order as fast as I can. Sorry for any added delays to all the people who took part in the pre-order sale. Doing my best to get them out there.
