So there's no discernable latency introduced as a result of the applied profile? I thought such filters, if not already active (and flat?), would introduce some additional delay. I've always been hesitant with these room correction solutions purely because of added latency (and possible degradation in certain cases), but if it's as simple as making the profile (after buying the mic and software), then I'm quite a bit more interested... They didn’t say no latency, nor provide a measurement.

There is no conversion going on. Just a simple EQ curve (not linear phase) so my guess is that there is no latency. I've got to get a lot of editing done in the next few days but if I get a chance, I will download the new mixer and load my SoundID profile into it and see how it works. You mean N control: right ?

Yes, although I mention SoundID because I'm assuming you need to own it to get the profile, right?

I was talking to Mike but, they have a demo , if you had a measurement Mike, you’d be able to create a profile, and once loaded in n control, I think , it would be discreet from the Sonarworks demo, so when that ends, you’d likely still be able to use the profile? Do you have a measurement mike ?

I guess I should see if any old thing would work for SonarID instead of just assuming the official brand one has to be used.

Any mike works , most have a correction file profile that you also need, you can load that into SW’s so your measurement is linear.
i may test this but with some stereo hi fi monitors I have, not great but measurement should still be accurate, then I could test process and or delete SW software and see if profile stays in lynx N control

The SW Mike is just a rebranded low cost mike you can buy elsewhere, but if you are buying the software and don’t have a Mike buying the complete SW package makes sense.
