Reaper I don’t remember exact names I just search:
“FFT” my favorite spectrum analyzer, you can get tweaky with parameters, responds crazy fast like an analyzer should.
“Stereo” the stereo plugins allow width adjusting, LR swap, trim and polarity for individual LR.
ReaGate is better than some fancier gates, simply because you can set a pre-open with a slow ramp. So many dynamic plugins struggle with catching waveforms, the pre open is my go to. A bit of a pia to dial but it gets the job done. Upward/downward expanders are another I use as needed.
The rea-plugs I go to when CPU is running out.

Why do you feel like you have to put Trim on other tracks that you’re not flipping polarity on? because if it adds sample latency, I don't always trust that it won't give me the wrong answer. but that is more old habit from before PT9 (and the PT LE line). I've not actually take the time to prove if it does or not since when I do it I'm not looking to go down that rabbit hole. Automatic delay compensation will handle discrepancies in plug-in induced latency between all your tracks. You don’t need to try to manually match them.

Logic user here Multimeter is handy for quickly getting a lot of different looks at my stereo bus Ringshift is great for adding interest to pads and percussion Channel EQ for quick HP/LP and cuts (FF ProQ or Waves F6 when I need to do more) Compressor for quick work on a non critical source Chroma or Space Designer for VI reverbs Drum Machine Designer and the DrumSynth modules Alchemy

In PT I still use the EQ a good amount. The single channel version for HPF, but the full EQ for quick simple EQing works great. I use trim a lot when recording myself on drums. Once I've run back and forth a few times getting levels right I record for a bit and then use trim to check and flip polarity. Anything that sounds better, I think flips the micpre's polarity. Then I remove the Trims that stayed and go don't to the recording at hand.
I like the PT deesser, and on the rare occasions I want a gate, it works fine.
I really should check out the modulation things.
There's a stock reverb that I hate on everything, but LOVE on tambourine. I can't think of the name, but it might be reverb one.
I tried the Euphonics channel strip a couple of times, but the UI was such shit that I haven't touched it in years.
I suppose HEAT is a plugin, and I think it's bitchin'.

I love that Cubase EQ that is built in their DAW.

Studio One mostly...
- Pipeline XT is utterly hassle free and completely effective for hardware as a plugin... unlike Logic I/O which feels like an afterthought in comparison - Pro EQ... I use stock EQ in any DAW and this one is also just fine. Idk why, I just always reach for stock if I'm moving fast - Splitter... just what it sounds like. Easy way to split signals, do M/S, gainstaging, whatever
All the other S1 stuff is totally usable but those three are the ones I use on the regular. Pipeline is the real winner though. Every now and then Logic whispers my name (poor man's industry standard!!) and Luna tempts me too, but without something as good as Pipeline it's a non-starter.

Yeah the Logic i/o looks pretty much unchanged from a looong time ago. I don’t trust the delay compensation either. Maybe it’s fine I dunno. Another item on my Logic wishlist would be a good tape emu. Cheers, Geoff

Logic I/O - delay compensation feels “kind of” consistent at least in the same session. I find myself always pinging it again right before printing to see if it stays the same.
Logic Phatfx - The distortion and clipping have been good for some things.
Logic multimeter - I like it everywhere!

I'm in studio one and also love pipeline and splitter but haven't tried anything else. Will give the EQ a go.

In addition to many that have been mentioned, my PT sub comes with Heat and Space, both of which are good examples of what they do.

Did anyone mention the stock clipper in FL studio yet? Legendary for contemporary hip hop production. Schwabe Digital is releasing Orange Clip that emulates it this month. It's one of those clippers that has a specific sound that influences the bounce of the track, pretty cool stuff.

And just fyi, FL Studio is not my DAW, only repeating what I've seen floating around hah.

I should look for Space and try it out. I managed to accrue plenty of good 3rd party IRs over the years and Space is as good as any IR verb I have tried.
