Nashville is on my bucket list and I’m just wondering who here if I did travel would like to keep me company? If you don’t know me I’m a Bfg (Big friendly git) I don’t take much seriously, easy going to a fault and enjoy a good laugh. I guess I can come off a bit arrogant but that’s never, ever been my intention although we are who we are. I get passionate about music but I wouldn’t be on this forum otherwise. No John I won’t be bringing my oscilloscope with me 🤣. Martin John Butler after our skype calls I’d really like to check in and see how you’re doing. Hopefully I can give you a bit of cheer and company.. I’m thinking August / early sept time. Let me know.. |

Hey Danny, I'd love to meetup when you come to town. I had to downsize to a smaller apartment because I'm partly disabled now. Otherwise I'd have offered you a place to stay. Stay in touch.

If I'm not working, I'd love to meet up, and or you guys are all welcome to come to Hartsville, and hang for the day.
I'll supply, the beer, wine, booze, and BBQ us a nice lunch / dinner or whatever.
August is a while from now, so my schedule can change?

I live about an hour's drive south of Nashville but I'd be willing to make the drive to go to lunch or dinner to meet up. Let me know when and I'll make it happen. If you've never been there I highly recommend touring Blackbird Studios. You have to call them a couple weeks in advance so they can set it up. They don't do walk-ins. Welcome to 1979 is also a cool place. I have never done a tour but I have been there.

The owner of 79, (Chris Mara?), grew into an mci restoration specialist and started Mara machines company, which does complete restorations of mci machines. maramachines.com/ |

They've got some operation there.
Their studio is a wonderful & vibey place. Very cool setup!

He’s been warned.
I tested their mastering service for my first album. I was pretty set on wanting an ampex, but Martin and I listened to the mci mastered example 79 sent me, it was pretty sweet.
Getting a completely rebuilt mci 1/2 inch mastering deck, all the materials you need to keep it tip top and treating it with tlc, would be a thrill !
