OK. For you Triad T2 users - I certainly get the quality and flexibility and options of this mic stand. It is certainly outSTANDing. (pun intended for Chris) But how is it on "tipping over" when stretched pretty far out? It sure looks like hanging a bunch of stuff off it at weird angles would make it very likely to be tippy and fall over with it's typical tri-foot footprint. Am I missing something? Does it weigh 40 lbs or something or use magic to keep upright? Looks to be killer, but if you're hanging a heavy mic way out on a boom, is it any more stable than the usual suspects? Thx.

Sorry had a bit of a hold up. But I'll still try to be a stand up guy.
Plus my friend insisted on watching "Vertical" last night, the Hitchcock masterpiece. Chris

I picked up a few of the on stage 7650's on a deal several years ago and they have been fine for my uses. Heavy mics are no problem although you may need to keep aware of the orientation of the tripod base if you are booming out. I've used it for multi micing on occasion, tube mic & ribbon and it was stable. They also come with an extended boom if you really need to reach but I haven't needed it.
