I like to appreciate all music, and I feel that a good understanding of all of it can only truly help you. But with this piece, I think sometimes people don't fully appreciate the genius behind Wolfgang Mozart. The Marriage of Figaro "Overture" is just brilliant, and it was an accomplishment for Mozart to even be able to have this performed, it was a banned piece by the Emperor in this time because they were afraid of uprisings, similar to today and what we saw in the east. But, Mozart was able to convince the Emperor, I'm glad he was, it's one of his most recognizable pieces.
My challenge, don't listen to the foreground, or the melody, but listen to what's happening in the background, how are things making the synapses in your brain fire, it's not from the melody, but rather the complexity and beautiful parts of the flutes and the perfection of all the instruments playing the precise harmonies, and, yes the melody is amazing as well. His use of dynamics, the way he changes scenery, see if you become inspired to place yourself in the theme of the song. What is astonishing for me, is that in a piece like this even though it's incredibly powerful, I can become tranced, I can feel myself enter into the music. See if it does that for you. His use of the background is like no other, it's just simply brilliant. Maybe you will feel inspired.
I'm a big classical buff, Mozart is my favorite by far, but because of just how genius he was, unlike other composers, Mozart had everything you're hearing in his head, he didn't simply write a melody and then form the rest of the piece around it, Mozart heard what you're hearing in his head from the melody violins to the simple fluttering of the flutes, and was able to write it on charts with no corrections, he never corrected his work, all of his pieces were originals which in any time period is almost not human. We talk about modern music a lot, and I'm just as engaged in it, but I don't see anything on this type of music, so I wanted to post this, maybe to inspire some that are stuck, some that might just be in that spot where the background is difficult right now, or something you struggle with. You can always turn to Mozart, and become inspired. All of his works, just amazing. Forgive the corniness of the video, but in this version you can hear all the parts the best.
