I ordered from Pro Tools PC who built my previous machine back in 2015. Before that, I had a Dell Precision and my first had been built by my friend Pat Duran in San Francisco who mostly built custom mike preamps.

Bob, may I ask a question from your formidable knowledge and experience. As my 13900K is now powerful enough to allow me to record at 48KHz 24bit instead of 44.1 KHz 24 bit. Does the step up make sense if I will then have to sample rate convert the master back to 44.1KHz to submit the release to Spotify? (they ask for submissions to be 44.1KHz) Will I loose the benefit of tracking and mixing at 48KHz - I want to record at 48KHz as I prefer the sound of my HEDD 192 FX at 48KHz but if the sample rate conversion is more detrimental than the benefit of the slight improvement with the HEDD FX I'll stick with 44.1KHz. Thank you.

There’s no other real benefit with most modern plugins that oversample anyway if you have good converter. If you have poor converters with a poor anti alias filter, 88.2 and 96 khz will shift that far beyond the audible band.

I've been doing everything at 96k for eight years. Spotify has been talking about supporting 96k streaming for some time.
